ive been using opiates for pain releif for 3.5 years now, with quite a high tolerance at this point. Recently i have been experiencing chest pain and unusual heart beat after insufflating either oxycontin(old formula) and hydromorph contins. Normally i dont sniff the shit too much, but recently came accross some old formula oxys and had to partake, my usual meds are 2x 30mg hydromorph contin twice a day. i know for sure its not an OD as what i took was way less then i know i can handle, and i dont combine the two, i use either one or the other. actually ended up going to the hospital one night after experiencing the pain and was discharhed after chest xrays were normal, along with vitals, ekg, heart rate, and blood pressure were also normal. Im sure that these oxys are real, as they have that taste thats undeniably real oxy. i also experienced similar pain more recently after insufflating half of one of my hmc 30s last night and the same pain arrised again. Doctor said its prolly just a muscular problem or an infection in the area, but it seems to happen only after i insufflate one of the two opiates i currently have. One other thing i should point out is i usually chew up my hmc's and any other opiates i get (oxyneo, morphine, m-eslon). Has anyone else had similar experience or know what may be causing this? These are all canadian rx's so if ur unfamilar with what im talking about hmc is time release hydromorphone as i dont think they have them in the states. Can insufflating any kinds of opiates cause heart conditions or even heart attack? as far as i know i thought they slow the heart rate not speed it up as it felt like it was. Any advice or information would be appreciated!

It could be that the binders like talc, silicon dioxide or cellulose are getting into your lungs. Maybe change the ROA? Also sometimes opiates themselves cause a fast heart rate.

Thanks thc. Ya that would seem to make sense. Because i was coffing up some shit that seemed to have residue of the crushef hmc beads. And i used to use cocaine quite often in my younger days so not too sure how in contact my nasal cavity still is lol. I guess what ill do is at least give the insufflating anything a break and just take them orally. Any suggestions for new ROA's for the hydromorph contin beads or the either the new and old formula oxies?

What exactly does omeprazole do when in use with opiates? Other then help with chest pain? And is it an rx? Or otc drug? Thanks

There's no point to snorting these pills mate, just take them orally as directed for better results. Oxycodone has a remarkable oral bioavailability, why waste an OG OC by snorting? When I do OGs, i just crush em with a knife and parachute it.

Well because i already have and can get more oxyneo (which is canadas new formula oxycontin). At almost a third of the price! And if i chew up these neos it be basically similar to parachuting wouldnt it be? So for me i find it a waste of money to use the old formulas orally as thats all i use the neos for. i all for any advice on a better ROA on the old formulas tho?!? Please and thank you

Also, in my oppinion its the best snortable opiate that i can get here in canada. Just the taste, smoothness and how wel quickly it dissolves.

How is it a waste of money to use the old formulation orally? They work at least two times better than the OP/OxyNEO taken orally.

Orally is the best way to take oxycodone, no matter what form it's in, be it OC, OP, roxicodone, percocet, etc. You get a higher amount of the drugs in your system compared to other ROAs, and the duration is also much longer.

Oh btw, what i have is oxycontin 40mg(old form.) oxyneo 40mg, and hydromorph contin 30mg (the capsules with the littly white beads inside), also have a few dillaudid 8mg instant release. Any suggestions on ROA for thess? I usually chew the neos, snort tbe oc's and either chew or snort the hmc's and dillaudid.

Really!?! Eh . The og oc's have a higher BA then the neos even if i chew the shit outa the neos until its literally a slimy liquid? Never woulda thougt that? Its the same medicinal content isnt it?

Chewing the Neos doesn't accomplish much.

For best results, take all products containing oxycodone orally, and hydromorphone nasally because it's BA is higher than oral, at ~50%.

Have u ever tried oxyneo? Because although similar it is completely different then the op oc. And im sure that they loose there time release properties when chewed thouroughly. I hope u dont take offense to this, i do really appreciate ur help and knowledge.

I've never tried OxyNeo, however they are not completely different than OPs the only difference is that it lacks the BHT due to it being a suspected carcinogen.

I have not tried OxyNEO but I have plenty of experience with the OPs and chewing them makes no difference.

Ok, sounds right. I have never tried the op oc's myself. So what ur telling me is even if i chew the neos, they will still retain there time release ability? Or that they just dont have as high BA as old formula? Because i can say for sure that they def dont last 12 hours after ive chewed em, id say it lasts about 4 hours

"Omeprazole is a specific inhibitor of the gastric proton pump in the parietal cell and thus reduces the secretion of gastric acid. Reversible control of gastric acid secretion is produced with single daily doses of omeprazole."

I know it sounds weird but the chest pain can and is often caused by gastric acid.
Also I haven't experienced any chest pain (Yes, I mean real chest pain - I thought it was my heart) since I started taking 20mg in the morning.
When I told my doctor about the chest pain he prescribed the omez and said it will go away.
He was right.

They shouldn't have any negative effects when used with opiates (they could actually potentiate them).

If you are in Canada then you will need a Rx for them (they aren't heavily scheduled though).
