Healthy Living Photo Thread v. What did you cook today?

I wish you would post what the foods are! Some aren't obvious (at least not to me). :P

I keep forgetting to post photos of my experiments.

In the last couple of weeks:
  • Cauliflower/chickpea flour fritters with vegan creme fraiche and salsa
  • Chickpea flour crepes stuffed with sauteed mushrooms and garlic kale, topped with raw tomato relish
  • Several different veggie burger concoctions
  • Amazing (albeit involved) raw pizza
Do you make your own chickpea flour, or do you buy it?
 
Mediterranean pasta salad with chicken

feta, black olives, grape tomatoes, cucumber, oregano, cracked black pepper, red pepper added to a Suddenly Salad Basil Pesto mix
 
Purple smoothies.
Banana
frozen mixed berries(strawberries, rassberries, black berries, red currents)
Ice cubes
ice cream
milk
honey(only a little bit. An overpower everthing else)

Tastes awesome.

Tasty-looking dishes. I don't have a stove atm so learning to be a master of cookless cooking :|

Breakfast shake:
- scoop of plain protein shake
- fresh, pitted cherries
- dash of cocoa
- bit of honey (to make up for the sour cherries)
- water

Low cal, good amount of protein, fibre and antiox and tastes great

For lunch:
- rice vermicelli
- ginger (grated)
- peas
- turkey
- chicken broth
- soy sauce & cayenne for flavour

basically the vermicelli needs to sit in boiling water (and oil, so it doesn't stick) with the ginger for a minute or two to be ready then I drain the water and add in the frozen peas thawed in microwave with chicken broth also heated up in the microwave and it just comes together in a bowl. Yes, cooking at its finest 8(

Actually, these are really cheap recipes ($1 buys enough vermicelli to make this meal 8x) for a good balance in protein, carb and fibre intake without many calories.

Curse my recently discovered nut allergy!!! Almonds in particular make my throat close over quicker than anything else. I miss nuts. :(
This is terrible news!!! That sucks hun :(
I couldn't live without nuts, they comprise about 30% of my whole diet atm :D

PI all your pasta salads look AMAZING! I love pasta salads with lots of veggies and fruits and random ingredients thrown in... you inspired me to make something like that today
 
Good! I made the orzo salad again this week. Gone in 2 days. Delicious.
I don't care for a salad that is mostly leaf based...unless it is spinach with hard boiled eggs, bacon etc
