Can someone recommend me a really healthy breakfast please? Simple as that.

I am tired of eating pastries from bakeries and all that for breakfast....

Thanks!

I prefer two things, one is oats that I mix a little bit with cereal (full grain without sugar) so that its a bit crunchy, add 1/4 or less of sliced banana and little bit of cocoa powder (like Benquick...try finding sth thats more cocoa(chocolate based, without added sugars, )) . Pour oat drink over it (one little one 0.25 L ) and mix it good. Leave for 10min or so, so that it soaks it up a bit and cocoa dissolves good. Yum.

Second one I like, get some good bread, without additives, I love corn bread, anyway try a few different kinds to see which you like. Just dont buy regular plastic white bread. Get some good honey, get a spoon and nicely strategically cover the pieces of bread with it (not too much, just to basically cover it) and wait 10 mins. Its much better once the bread soaks it in a bit and its slightly crunchy also. I love orange juice with it, though its best to drink it before it (for the stomach).

If youre not too much for sweet things, get some corn (or regular, again avoid normal white) toast, get it toasted and smear tartex paste over it. Its delicious. Either the regular one or the one with mediterran spices, even the mushroom ones a good. Have some tea with it.

I just got back from Turkey and I am a convert to the breakfasts there. Breakfast was a hard boiled egg, goat or sheep cheese, olives, cucumber slices, tomato slices, walnuts, yogurt, bread of some sort and various homemade jams and honey. No matter how humble the accommodations, this was always the breakfast. I found that even eating a small amount of everything there I started the day not full or sluggish yet could go until evening before wanting to eat again. Of course laying all this out for yourself every single morning is a lot to do but I'm thinking of doing some of it ahead of time (like keeping cucumbers already sliced in water in the fridge and boiling a few days worth of eggs).

Barring all of the above (which I have yet to do upon my return;)) I usually opt for a half fruit/half greens smoothie with nuts and seeds thrown in for protein. If you are in the habit of going out for a pastry you can always go out for a smoothie.

Whole wheat toast, spinach, tomatoes, and egg?

Or whole grain cereal with raspberries, blueberries, banana, raisins, etc with almond milk!

brown bread, good cheese, tomatoes, cucumber, pickles, olives, boiled egg maybe

or porridge, muesli,....

or fried eggs and bacon

endless possibilities

for me i mix porridge oats with either skimmed-milk, or water. Heat it up until cooked, then add about half a teaspoon of honey (organic of course ;) ) and a teaspoon of almond butter, or hazelnut butter -- keeps me full for a very long time.

I know this might sounds gross, but I used to be a pastry junkie so trust me on this one...
There is a delicious Asian pastry stuffed with sweet potato that inspired me to stuff a whole wheat pita with cold leftover sweet potato and banana slices one day while working through a severe case of midnight munchies.

It's turned into my favorite breakfast, sweet, full of fiber, lots of vitamins and minerals, portable, still tastes great the next day so you can make one at night for a grab and go breakfast. You can get creative and add some extra protein from seeds...or nut butter...a drizzle of real maple syrup or honey if you like it sweeter....cold sweet potato pita sammies are soooo good for breakfast
