Health issue or not? Pupils different sizes under the influence

Hey PD
Here's the background.
I'm young, late teens, close to 20's. I've experimented with DOB, DOC, LSD, shrooms, 25i-nbome, LSA, Bromo-dragonfly and 2C-B.
I've noticed that on DOB and DOC one of my pupils goes bigger than the other. Not hugely, it's only barely noticeable, but the difference is there, maybe 1mm or 1.5mm difference. I looked into it, but people who ask about this get mixed responses. I notice also that people post this on threads and assume it as normal. I understand that this can be dangerous, however it only seems to happen when under the influence of something. Not only that, but I read into other peoples experiences with different size pupils and the only 2 I could find were mephedrone and MDMA where this happened. I found this interesting because these two are both amphetamines/substituted amphetamines, and so is DOB and DOC, the two that cause the problem for me. I've come to the conclusion that I won't do anything amphetamine related, although it intrigues me that substances that affect the same receptors can cause such a neurological difference. Is this something to worry about? I'm a bit of a hypochondriac so I'd love to know whether this is worth looking into. I've done my research and can find basically nothing except that one website stated that different size pupils can be 'The side effect of certain drugs' yet they never carried on to say if it was greatly harmful or nothing to worry about or what drugs and why. 8o

I have it with every psychedelic. Doesn't seem to have any consequences.

with DOC sometimes the pupils might contract intermitently, asymetrically, the day after as well. no impairment of vision (so far) in my case...
noticed it mostly with more stimulant substances than anything else...

My pupils are always different sizes. went for an eye test and woman said one of my eyes was shape of a rugby ball. Always been like that apparently.
regular eye tests!

I flicked hot fag ash into my eye one night. Healed quickly but felt like I'd got grit in there for a few days :)

After reading this thread I checked my eyes and sure enough my left pupil is slightly larger than my right. My pupils also fluctuate, should I be worried? I had a physical a month ago and the doc didn't mention anything so I'm guessing it's nothing to worry about. I should also mention i consume kratom twice a day along with cannabis and weekly to bi-weekly psychedelic use.

Pupils that are not equal and responsive to light (ie they get smaller bigger if you shine light into them) indicates increased inter-cranial pressure. PEARL pupils equal and responsive to light means your brain is a ok. Pupils unequal and non responsive to light is a problem. You probably just have a slight increase in inter-cranial pressure and if your pupils respond normally to light your fine. Check your BP it's probably a little higher than normal and so is your heart rate. Usually non-PEARL results from massive head trauma like you'd expect from MVA, being hit in the head that kind of thing. All your experiencing is a slight increase in the pressure in your brain due to raised BP from the drugs. You won't stroke out or cone unless you have some significant underlying neurological disorder.

Nothing to worry about unless you continue to do this for the rest of your life and then you will probably have a stroke at 80 like most of us.

Umm source? Not that I plan on being an 80 year old psychedelic pothead kratom addict ,what makes you say that there would even be an increased risk of stroke? Cannabis and psychedelics have no correlation to strokes(that I know of) and although kratom is fairly new to the western world I've never heard of it causing strokes, in fact it has been said to lower bp.

It's common medical knowledge it's possibly the result of very minor raised inter-cranial pressure. You can get it (one pupil a little larger than the other) by being stressed. I assume you are aware of PEARL like when the paramedics or nurse shines a light into someones eyes after concussion. That is what we are looking for Pupils equal and responsive to light. A small difference in size means nothing except the possibility of very minor raised blood pressure nothing to worry about you will live till your 100 if you don't die from other conditions like heart failure, renal failure, cancer etc. I was just saying that you will live to a ripe old age and die a natural death DO NOT WORRY.

On another note Kratom (Mitriagine) can raise BP for some people like myself depending on dose and individual reaction Kratom has a stimulant effect (sweating, raised pulse rate etc) before the opiate like effect and you need higher doses for the opiate like effect to even occur. There was "Kratom" being sold in the US that was actually a tramadol analogue and I can't be bothered at this point researching the data to prove this point so I ask kindly that people do their own research.

As for strokes smoking anything increases the risk of developing Arteriosclerosis and as a result stroke and heart failure. This is not just tobacco and as you want researched data: C.G. Caro et al. EFFECT OF CIGARETTE SMOKING ON THE PATTERN OF ARTERIAL BLOOD FLOW: POSSIBLE INSIGHT INTO MECHANISMS UNDERLYING THE DEVELOPMENT OF ARTERIOSCLEROSIS The Lancet, Volume 330, Issue 8549, Pages 11 - 13, 4 July 1987. There is tones of data indicating this link between both smoking and long term air pollution. Although this example focuses on tobacco smoking cannabis however also produces a large amount of chemical byproducts from the burning of the cannabis which releases and in some cases the chemicals released are altered by the act of igniting the cannabis and may produce similar results in terms of arteriosclerosis.
HR eat some tasty THC cookies or similar don't smoke pot.

Also some people may be allergic to some drugs or medications. Hell no one can predict if an individual will be allergic to a medication or drug unless they undergo an allergy test. There is minimal risk of stroke however and what I'm saying is that there is nothing to worry about it's just a very minor increase in pressure in your brain due to A: increased blood flow, b: vaso-constriction etc. Shulgin had a stroke BTW if you were not already aware. Unless you want to stress out about the remote chance of your different sized pupils the above post outlines the remote possibility that there may be some underlying cause https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anisocoria thank you so very much toastman. :)

Never generalize about the possible subjective long term effects. Kava kava is not meant to cause people to have a mild stroke but large amounts combined with Alcohol and I've seen more than one old westerner drop to the ground red as a beetroot because they got into a serious kava kava session with some Fijian guys and then all went to the pub and the old guy would usually down 3 or 4 pints before he would collapse.
