Stimulants Health concerns with benzedrex

Weeks ago I took propylhexadrine with a friend of mine. I look for the chemical stain on the cotton, cut it in half and squeeze it out into soda which is more than enough for me. He ended up ingesting an entire cotton after some contemplation. I don't know why, but his body absolutely rejected the thing, and he got a headache severe enough to land him in the ER. It was not even his first time doing it. It made me seriously reconsider the health effects of benzedrex. I always do a lot of research about a drug before I take it, and I never read about this happening to anyone. I've even read stories about people taking this stuff daily with little to no negative effects. How common is it for a person to experience something like this? I haven't taken this stuff since and I am seriously reluctant to tell anyone about it now.
 
Pretty bad for you. Hardly any effect on your central nervous system (euphoria, energized, etc.) and lots and lots of load on your body (HR, BP, vaso constriction, etc). Kind of like a focused hit of all the bad side effects of other drugs with none of the benefits. Consuming the cotton just means you get more of the drug plus your body has to try and pass a piece of cotton through it.

There is a reason why drugs aren't scheduled and it's usually they aren't that dangerous or they aren't that enjoyable. This one is most definitely the second.
 
When I was like 18/19 I used Benzedrex a handful of times. Sometimes it would be a very strong amphetamine-type high with a body buzz to be reckoned with. Other times, however, it gave me debilitating headaches to the point where I seriously WAS considering the hospital. The headaches left after about an hour for me. After the second time that happened I decided that stuff was NOT worth it.
