Health Benefits of Tea

I'm drinking some kind of tea or tisane at most points of the day. I drink mostly green tea, just because I find the process of making it easier. I can brew up an entire pot and drink it over a long period of time and not have to worry about adding sugar or milk because it tastes fine on it's own. Though in the morning I'll have a couple cups of Earl Grey, for the caffeine...and also because it's delicious.

In the evening I drink a chamomile/passion flower tisane. It's supposed to be sedating, it isn't really, but it tastes nice and doesn't have caffeine in it.

i used to drink alot of green tea but it started staining my teeth, so im down to 1 cup a day.

its gotta be my favorite, i think my 2nd favorite is licorice tea, it leaves this REALLY sweet taste in your mouth after youve ingested it. its actually kinda trippy to be honest haha :D

did you search tea? there a "favorite tea" thread already i think

There is indeed already a tea thread. Merged.

I still like the Tulsi tea I mentioned earlier. Still not sure which flavor it is I don't like--Mango something. :P

I also like licorice tea a lot. I know what you mean about the sweet taste it leaves in your mouth being almost trippy. Its like the aftertaste is 3 times as strong as the initial taste. The stash brand licorice is my favorite it has a couple other flavors in their as well.

Also, ginger tea is not that good, but its good for nausea!

tulsi mint by Yogi Teas??
Nope. Organic India Tulsi Tea.

Like this one, only the lemon something. Too lazy at the moment to find the right image and the right name. :P

My top three are ginger, coca and yerba mate, although mate gives me a wicked UTI burn every time.

Ginger: anti-inflammatory, anti-oxidant, blood thinner, warming/circulatory properties. And great for nausea.

Coca: energy, fights altitude sickness and full of healthy minerals.

Yerba mate: still can't decide whether this feels healthy or not, but everything in moderation.

^ Yerba mate tea has a lot of caffeine in it, but has a lot of nutrients as well. It is usually smoked to dry it, and therefore can have polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAH's, basically small molecules like soot, which are carcinogenic). However, some companies are now getting their yerba mate dried, so it doesn't have PAH's on it. Its usually called "unsmoked", and I know ecoteas sells some.

I'm digging green tea these days, but about to drink some peppermint/passionflower/lotus leaf(not blue lotus) that I made :).

I really like the first two in your list. I find that both are good for nausea.Sometimes I add grated ginger to other teas as well.

The coca leaf tea is really great too. But sadly, the price of coca leaf has sky rocketed since the last time I bought some, and I'm not willing to buy it at the current price.

Lately I've been drinking a cup of peppermint tea with breakfast and after dinner (to aid digestion. I also love the taste and the numb mentholy feeling that it gives me. Not to mention it has no caffeine, which is good!)

I also drink a cup of green tea during the day at some point. Or this one if I feel like making a pot of loose leaf. It's pretty great.

6 cups of green tea a day, purely for health/Antiaging reasons.

Chinese gunpowder brand.

I enjoy about 10-15 cups of various herbal teas a day! I LOVE Peppermint tea (definitely agree with Rated E on the lovely numb mentholly feel post-consumption).

I add ground ginger (or grated ginger root which I prefer but is more expensive for what you get) to pretty much every tea I drink, aswell as a healthy squeeze of lemons and limes. Even just lemon/lime/ginger and honey in boiled water is amazing and makes me feel rejuvenated.

Honey is an incredible addition to any herbal teas and harbours an impressive myriad of health benefits :)

  • I love Yerba Maté and have been drinking it for a while as a great alternative to Coffee (which I do enjoy but can give me horrendous anxiety so only touch it in smaller amounts now and when I already feel confident) .... it's less jittery than coffee, slightly more relaxing and feels healthier.
  • Theobrama Cacao tea has to be one of my favourite hot beverages to drink. If you haven't tried Theo Cacao 25x extract before, you really should. Source some and add off-the-boil water for a strong characteristically bitter chocolatey beverage. If you like strong 85%+ cocoa, you'll love this. But a less offensive and all-round more delicious beverage is Theo Cacao tea with a healthy splash of milk, like a beautiful natural sugarless healthy hot chocolate.
But the best part of it is the lovely and unique relaxation you get. It isn't overly potent or hard-hitting, just nice and relaxing and nice to accompany lying in bed. It goes really, really nicely whilst coming up on Kratom (or any drug really). Very soothing.
  • Green Tea
  • Redbush
  • Chamomile (very pleasant and definitely effective when really seriously needed before bed - not incredibly significantly amazingly potent, but can definitely help, especially when used in conjunction with....
  • Valerian Root
  • Mr. Scruff (dj/musician) has his own brand called 'Make Us A Brew' and does a few blends of his own choosing and the best one is Look Lively with lemongrass (love lemongrass either in cooking or tea), yerba maté and couple other things

Tea.

That's the same Tulsi that I buy :)

Drinking more chamomile tea than normal lately... an old favourite.

I also don't mind Rooibos tea from time to time. I prefer herbal teas and the like, mostly because normal tea is most commonly served with milk which I don't like in my Tea. Over time, I've tried and enjoyed so many herbal teas it's one of my favourite refreshments.

mmmm, I love it all

a few honorable mentions on top of what's been said:

sarsaparilla
ginseng
ginko
ashwaganda
pau de arco

there are loads of blends I've tried with clever names. Loose leaf is the best imo.

My favorite tea at the moment is probably jasmin green tea. It is rrreally good. Shit is expensive though, like 7 euros for 100g. I am also always a fan of moroccan mint, lemon ginger with licorice, and whatever is on sale at the local tea place.
