Headaches - what do you use?

Ibuprofren and naproxen sodium work great together. If not just take the naproxen with some APAP. Those are the two best medicines OTC you can combine with your conditions. Give it a try. 500mg APAP and 200mg Naproxen two to three times a day ide say. In averages dosages, that should be one pill of each. Drink with water and with food or some food in your stomach. good luck.

Naproxen taken daily can lead to stomach ulcers. It's generally not recommended for long term daily use.

Thanks for the suggestions but I can't take ibuprofen or any NSAID drugs due to a fairly recent stomach bleed, I'm also not keen on taking loads of APAP my liver has been good to me given I did my bests to destroy it with booze !

I'll be speaking to my councellor and my GP I'm moving more to coming off the ADs in the near future and as long as the headaches don't get any worse and I haven't had another as bad as the one that made me stop my car since I'm just going to hang on a bit longer without any extra meds and stop taking the OTC stuff as its not doing enough to make it worth while.

Given my current scores on anxiety and depression which have been moving in the right direction I think I could stop the AD in the next 3 months, I'm starting to get other side effects from it anyway, me and ADs don't generally get on so this is no big surprise.

@About BabyGurl3171 - I think we both reached the same conclusion :)

Regardless of your adamancy toward not drinking enough water, I still suggest you properly hydrate yourself. Doesn't matter what the govt says - they're clearly the ones out to "help" us... Given the impending water crises, I don't see any reason for them to suggest people drink up lots of water. Easier to remove a weakened population..
