I had some L blotters last night, they were white one white paper and had a bitter taste. Dude told me they were laid with Ethanol so I figured that accounted for the bitterness. Anyways I got a headache and muscle tension in my neck and shoulders during the first or so during the trip. After that it calmed down with the aches and pains. I have done L many times and it did seem pretty legit. I didnt get many visuals But I never really get visuals any more of the majority of psychedelics. (I blame that on doing too many cocktails over the years)

Has anyone had an experience similar to this with L?

Bitter taste is not evidence of anything, not even good indication unless it is of an intense kind and you have experience with comparing it. Ethanol is not really bitter although strong liquor can obviously have aversive taste.

LSD as well as other drugs it might have been can cause vasoconstriction which increases the possibility of aching and cramping. Headaches are also a known side-effect, not sure how much it is associated with the vasoconstriction.

In other words: it is kinda normal for LSD but also for other drugs. IMO it is impossible to tell anything from it so I don't think there is any further point in investigating.

Sometimes I get headaches from various psyches myself.

I find preloading with niacin and taking it throughout definitely helps

Not in my experience. Headaches and bodyaches are common on the comedown and the comeup, nothing a little magnesium supplementation and a naproxen (Aleve) tablet didn't fix, though.

I once happened across a little book where the author, a pharmacist, stated very nicely, "LSD is perhaps the only drug where you can truly say that the hangover comes first". And even then it's noted that it usually takes the form of 15 minutes or so of mild tension and anxiety.

I always think that it's great to get it out of the way and then look forward to many hours of fascination, joy etc., knowing that afterward I will be left thinking "wow, that was mega, unbelievable not to have a hangover afterwards!"

Make sure your well hydrated and healthy. Small things like that can really affect the trip.

^Exactly.

As somebody who suffers from migraines I was always afraid of psychedelics and headaches. I tend to get a headache on the comedown from mushrooms. However, LSD has proven itself to be the ultimate anti-migraine drug. I'm 100% migraine free for months and months after I take LSD.
