Headache and insomnia from heroin??

Ok so the other day Me and my gf copped some dope, no one around here knows what a bundle is and i never get anything stamped, one balloon but other wise i always get it in the corner of baggies tied knotted up. Which isnt common from reading on here?

But anyways she did a lot and woke up in the middle of the night with a bad ass headache so i just figured she did to much and told her it was her own fault. But then last night we got some more from a completely different dude no way it was the same shit, and i woke up this morning and puked (which i never do cause im cautious about my dosage) and had the worst headache of my life! also i couldnt fall asleep on it which is weird, it was a rock to.

Is this just from doing to much? and im in MN btw, isn't bundles and stamped baggies common everywhere? i would think stamps would be risky but anyways thanks in advance

when I first started doing dope insomnia was normal for me

the puking was also normal for me the first few weeks, even with dosage that just got me high, not even nodding, the puking is just your body adjusting to the presence of the dope, it will go away

maybe u just have a dope hangover, r u new to it? I got some headaches from it in the beginning especially when not getting enough sleep, aleve worked the best

Im in Chicago and my dope always came in aluminum foil, no stamps, just wrapped in foil, each person wrapped it a little differently

stamps are most common in the NJ and NY area. The NEast is common to find solid powder of 80% purity mostly form Colombia. However anything west of the Mississippi is tar based from Mexico. (although the powder is from Colombia is is distributed by Mexico to the NE. As for methods of wrapping the most extensive will be paper stamped wrapped on tin foil sealed slightly w powder. Also balloons, plastic baggie twists etc. are all very common. MN is so far from anything distribution wise I must assume it is from Canada most likely Yes? No? was this powder or tar? I concur with the others in saying this was probably not a big deal and should dissipate with use.

lol yeah, I remember times when I was really sick and my tar was all stuck to the grocery bag and in my desperate attempt to get well as soon as possible, just said fuck it and cooked up the dope along with the tiny bits of plastic I couldn't completely get off. This only happened a few times though.

Here in Jersey, I dont think I have ever had bags that weren't stamped. All the shit I got was good, and damn good at that. one time I got some from a guy i grew up with and it was shit even tho the bags were stamped.

Got a few stamped bags a few weeks ago that were fantastic

Of course it feels great now, if we junkies were miserable and desperate from our first bags, do you think we'd ever start?

The problem comes when you use a bag every day, and then you need two... then four, then eight, then ten... just to get out of bed, fuck, just to keep a .45 out of your mouth.

And pretty soon, even a whole bundle a day doesn't give you that "great and happy" feeling anymore, it just allows you to get off the bed (or couch... or floor... or stranger's bed... or pavement) to try and maintain this miserable live just one more day.

Then you lose all your friends because you'll fuck anyone over for a dollar just to get a bag. Steal from anyone, pawn everything you own, lie about everything every time you open your mouth.

Then you get some shit that's WAY better than you ever expected and nod out with the needle in your arm and wake up in the hospital.

Or don't wake up at all.


Yes, heroin is the greatest drug of all time. That's why it's ruined so many lives.

You can find plenty of young, twenty-something junkie who love life and riding the wave of opiated bliss.

But how many 40-year old junkies do you see who you would want to trade places with?

The tide always comes in eventually.

Fucking hell dude you should really educate yourself on the risks of heroin. It's not always going to be so good and have your back "if you have it everyday." Over time you won't find it so benevolent.

I am guessing that since you are hanging out on BL that your no angel either I'm sure if you post your habits we can take pot shots at them too. To be honest, what okterrific said is exactly how I felt when I was a junky in the making. I was telling people those exact same words. I haven't touched the shit in 9 months. If dope was so great I'd still be on it. After a while of everyday use it stop working and turns u into a lazy emotionless slob.

I don't regret my use of H as it was the past and had its pluses and minuses, but I wouldn't recommend people to get into it. It's extremely addicting and you never know if u'll be able to stop in time.

For people who have never been addicted, its hard describing what being addicted to H means. It's just impossible to describe the grip of it on your whole being. It becomes something like eating or breathing, and at times more important than anything else. Are you ready for such a commitment?

To the OP - It does sounds like you just did too much. Happened to me when I first started using.
Also, that's how we get dope in the UK: Rocky powder in corner bags tied.
To combat the headaches keep yerself hydrated and take some Ibuprofen. As for the sleep trouble and nausea, take some Diphenhydramine or Promethazine, but this will also dehydrate you, so keep topped up

I agree with the others on this... they certainly didn't say they were any better than the guy, they just said they were more informed cos they'd been down that road already. You have to admit the line "heroin is the best drug ever!" is certainly coming from someone who underestimates heroin's addiction potential, so I see no harm in people imparting their wisdom on the OP. Will he listen? Probably not, but he was warned at least. Better than not saying anything IMO

Are you shooting up? When I was using IV heroin everyone always said if you use too much water in your shot it gives you a headache. I am not sure if that's true but I did get headaches a lot when I was using.

Lot of dope fiend myths about the amount of water used in a shot, wonder if any are actually true...

I've commented on the insomnia, but re: headaches I will say that I'll get a killer headache sometimes if I puke due to heroin use, something that doesn't happen with alcohol.

Stamps are common in the NE. They were first introduced in the late 60's to early 70's, some say by Frank Lucas. But who the hell really knows. They could be commonly seen all along the east coast, from Delaware all the way up to Connecticut , but if they're not in NJ/PA/NYC, chances are they're from those areas, as they're the main places stamps get packaged. In some places, like Baltimore, they never caught on. Tradition, I guess.


As for the symptoms, headache and insomnia, they can be caused by doing too much. Insomnia is fairly common, especially with a low tolerance and if it's dosed close to bedtime. Headaches also happen, but they're not as common, IME.

Try a smaller dose, dosing earlier in the day, and aspirin works for the headaches.
