Hazardness of this combo? Left 1 dead

I am sorry for you loss. These things happen hence why research into what you're taking and harm reduction is ALWAYS required for a smart user.
It's not difficult to OD on this combo if you're pretty much opiate or benzo naive. She took 20mg of pure Oxy (assumed), Xanax, alcohol AND pregabalin (or gabapentin)
Pregabalin acts as a potentiator for all three of them. So you can pretty much imagine why it would cause an overdose.
I've read that 20mg of pure Oxy alone can fuck up some opiate-naive people. I doubt they'd OD but they'd be pretty much wasted or annoyed by the side-effects (scratching, flushes, nausea) and that is not an experience someone enjoys. Nevermind adding some mgs of Xanax, Gabapentin AND alcohol on the mix...

I am so sorry for your loss, Words can not express how you must feel. That sounds like a wide variety of chemicals to be taking in at once, i'm pretty sure your not supposed to drink alcohol on any of those medications. I'm sure the trauma to her head and letting her sleep it off might have not helped the situation. I truely and sincerly mean this when I say this. You and your family will be in my prayers. I hope the best for you and the family as you go through the difficult greiving process. I have done that myself and know that it is not easy. Words from others are nice but don't (or atleast did not for me) help me through the loss. Good Luck and remember all the great joyful memories!!!!!

Taking all of those CNS depressants which each cause respiratory depression is obviously hazardous since the level of CNS depression is magnified with the addition of each other drug. The dosages of each drug alone might not have seemed too high, but when combined it is (and was) surely enough to cause death.

I'm just wondering what you mean by 'pure oxy.' If you mean just oxycodone without any acetaminophen aka paracetamol then it's still not pure since it has other binders/fillers still, and even if it wasn't 'pure' it would be just as dangerous (even more so) as the oxycodone/acetaminophen combination since you run the risk of liver damage when taking the pill with the combined analgesics.

This is bloody terrible. Who allowed a semi-naive user take that much? I can't believe it. And why didn't people watch her? What the fuck? You never adventure (unless you're like me and are suicidal anyway) into new drugs without first research and a buddy. The fuck.
