I hate the taste ever since i threw up from eating 10 and swallowing ages ago, but chew on a sweet lolly while ur doing it.

And really, using "SWIM" . . does anyone else find that freaking ridiculous and annoying?
Everyone still knows it was you. even the police.

Totally agree. I've never eaten seeds that could be described in any way as being bad tasting. Not something I'd chew on for a taste sensation, but nothing bad about it. And I'm a pussy when it comes to manky tasting things.

Reading through this thread again has really made me want to hunt down a few HBRW again. It's easy to get sidetracked with all the more "exotic" stuff, but sometimes the most rewarding trips are right there under your nose :).

Yeah, same. I'd be cautious of such a foul taste accompanying the seeds natural flavors. The only bother to me is the huge mouthful of spit ~25mins into swishing. It may also be the date of the seeds. Perhaps they get bitter as they age? The seeds I've seen have always been relatively fresh.

On a personal note, I've always enjoyed using terminology like 'SWIM' and my friends do too. :p lol

Thanks again for the positive reviews on the trip report. SWMM (Someone Who Might-Be Me) may also have a few more detailed experiences on various substances up in his brain he'd like to share. =D
 
The taste for me has been a non-issue, its not strong nor distinctive. Just kind of "woody" as Xorkoth said

Xorkoth: I highly recommend the LAH/LSH/Whatever extraction. With 12 seeds (and some weed of course) it was visual, no nausea to speak of, a bit less sedating (using HBWR) and a generally fantastic time!
The way i did it was grind up the seeds in a mortar and pestle then soak them in ~100ml of water, ~1 shot of gin (the only spirit i have atm, everclear would be better) and about 10 drops of peppermint oil for 3 hours, swirling the cup every time i walked by it (about very 15 minutes), filtering and drinking, tasted like i was drinking some minty fresh mouthwash. Some say you shouldnt add the alcohol at the start (supposedly it extracts the nauseating alkaloids) and should wait untill after you've filtered it but given that both H20 and ethanol are very polar solvents, i didnt bother.
