having trouble keeping my eyes open...

so earlier i took 2 methadone 10mg pills and then i waited an hour after i felt it to take the other one, kno wi am feeling them real good i can barely keep my eyes open and i feel EXTREMELY exhausted... and my tolerance for opiates is definitally not low whatsoever...anyone know why i possibly feel like this? i took methadone 30mg yesterday and the day before as welll but i didnt even get close to feeling like this at all..any help is appreciated...it is annoying because im at work and dealing with customers and i just keep nodding snd itching...any of your help is much appreciated

Uh, I think he means the reason for your intoxication and the previous times you have taken your medication and havn't felt so intoxicated is because there is several factors to consider. Now I don't quite know how methadone works, all I am assuming if it acts like any other oral drug then the different factors could be did you take them on an empty stomach? maybe you have taken too much? how did you feel this morning before you took them? were you experiencing cravings or did you still feel a little bit high? It may have stacked up with the previous day explaining your intoxication. If you took them on an empty stomach they may have been absorbed faster. I will have a look up on methadone and see if I can find any more info, however I do know it is a very long lasting drug, some people have taken it and been high for 24 hours, like I said, it could have stacked with your previous days dose.
 
Well, i'm no expert but i'm guessing that what it could possibly be, I have been trying to find info on wether it is absorbed faster on an empty stomach, but i'm guessing as all other things pills, booze, ect all act the same way when taken on an empty stomach. I understand tho that methadone can cause painful stomach cramps when not taken on an empty stomach, so you should probably try to find a dosage that works for you to be taken on an empty stomach so that you do not have to endure this problem again. Hopefully someone with more info on the subject will elaborate.

thanks all other tips are appreciated..i just hate that i cant stay awake while on the high..eyes keep uncontrollably closing

I know dude it happened to me before on the train I was pretty fucked up and had the 'nod' I kept slapping myself cos I didn't want my pockets dipped if I fell asleep. Try some coffee but I dunno if that will help :/ probs not.
 
Methadone is very long acting, the peak could last anywhere from 4 to 12 hours depending, even longer with some people. The fact that you're able to reply to my post means you're alive and fine. No worries, I do recommend drinking a coffee or Red Bull if you want to stay awake for it, methadone is quite sedating, as I'm sure you're finding out first hand.
