I would say give not smoking, or hardly smoking, a shot for a while. Maybe a month or more. It couldn't hurt, could it? I find that I really do have a lot more drive, goals, and motivation when I don't smoke, or only smoke on rare occasion. I still smoke, mind you, but there have been rough periods of my life when I decided it would be in my best interest to take a break, tackle my real priorities, and come back to it when I feel ready. And my minds never gonna change about weed, I love the stuff, and its always gonna be growing around the world, so I'm in no hurry to smoke it all down. If its a crucial period of your life, such as this, where you have to make some big decisions, my recommendation would be just start taking a break, see how you feel in a week, if things are good, try a month maybe. Then reflect. See which direction looks best when your mind had been cleared.
