Have you ever had a bad time on Ecstasy?

The reason I asked this question was that we had our first snow of the winter yesterday. Every time I see snow or ice now reminds me of that night. I certainly can't watch Titanic again (thank fuck - it doesn't half go on and on and on). But the psychological effect it had on me was alarming - it was like a bad trip I couldn't get out of, I thought I'd be in that state forever. Luckily it only lasted a couple of weeks, but it taught me to respect MDMA a little more...
 
Must have a year and a half ago, I smoked some weed when I was coming down off some MDMA. What ensued was some rather strange trippyness that had me a little freaked out. As I didn't have anything to knock me out so to speak, I just had to wait it out. I'd never known MDMA could be such a mindfuck until that day, although I think it goes without question that the weed played a large role in said experience.
 
Yeah. Took 1.2g in a night. Ended up pissing in a bag for 24 hours after due to agonising urine retention and thought/felt like I was going to die. Ended up with cystitis for a week after too due to the cath, together with my family finding out about my MD use. Yeah...it was shit.

Since then, I've respected MDMA. Now I don't do more than 300mg in a night. Everytime I think about the incident I feel mortified....

Yes, a couple of times I've taken it too far and become slightly paranoid or started to feel like puking (tho never have). Being pretty much unable to piss on it (especially if out) kinda puts an annoying spin on 'rolls' too.

When my anxiety was really bad, the come ups used to scare the shit out of me, at times, and I definitely had a few panicky experiences. However, now I'm not anxiety-ridden, I recognise a strong come up as a sign of good things to come. Other than really bad comedowns, from taking as many pills as possible, as often as possible, I can't say I've had many bad experiences. I suppose you could count mongy, Dutch pills as a poor experience, but not a bad one. I think getting bitten by piperazines, when I was expecting MDMA was probably worse than anything I've experienced on actual MDMA. I don't even find that set and setting is hugely important, if it's magical stuff.

I willing took PMA once. In the name of HR we decided against redosing.

The trip was fine but I did end up in a canola field with genuine tears running down my cheeks on the comedown

Only once, coming up I felt sick but it didn't feel right. When I was sick I felt ok but a few people were the same that night so might have been dodgy pills. But that's it, any other time I've felt sick on the come up I've still had a good time.
 
Completely overdid it on my ex's 18 th very early 90's , had a few pills in the gardening club ( Covent Garden ) then in the cab after on our way to a wear house party , me and my now brother in law decided to double drop. Eat the pills and completely out my face forgot I'd dropped , so dropped 2 more all in the space of 5 minutes.
My ex realising what I'd done freaked the fuck out snatched the pills and sent the cab home. I don't remember to much but she was on the verge of a hospital job , apparently I was grey and she could feel/ hear my heart beat.
We was fucking reckless back then no idea about HR and would go out twice a week eating ln excess of 10 pills , probably why I'm a bit cooked today.
I'm ashamed to say we would regularly drive in all sorts of states , fuck knows how nobody died.
 
Woke up in hospital after my mate totally skitzed out when we got chucked out of a house party in byker (newcastle) cant remember that much apart from the paramedics conclusion that I'd been on cid and me stating that the ambulance was an aeroplane.. came together in the waiting room ~3hrs later with some lass drawing on my face totally freaked out and basically done a runner.

Got all paranoid thinking sheep were everywhere (kinda like the glasses and hat thingy) I mean everywhere aswell this lasted like ~1hr fucknows what pills either time where early 02 i think.

All in all nothing bad really so in short nope. :)

My first (and only) difficult time was around 2000AD when I double dropped some green triangular pills, but the wife wasn't playing, so I ended up watching Titanic with her whilst mashed. The end scenes where everyone was dying in the water affected me greatly - to the extent where snow and ice properly freaked me out for a good couple of weeks. I previously didn't think it was possible to have a bad trip on this stuff - but it definitely is.

I've had a couple to be honest - normally after a higher dose when you can't really figure out what is going on so the confusion gets you more than the actual thing. I have seen a few people collapse in clubs frothing at the mouth coughing up blood etc, nasty suicide attempt, stabbings etc.

Witnessed a really bad beating at a club down London way - six bouncers one guy (sounds like a video I have), he was screaming for help as they dragged him out beating the shit out of him :(.
 
Pretty much same as bear. If it's been MD never had a bad one personally except via external stimulus IE seeing harsh stuff like friends going into fits or dropping down unconscious when you've done the same pill. Stabbing and robberies at dodgy raves, on a comedown a good friend telling me he had HIV.
