By law all licensed premises must provide water for free if asked. They will try and sell you a bottle so you just ask for a glass which should be free.

i've spent a few long nights out on the goldy and then hooked it to the bicky bar cause the night (well day) was starting to warm up :D good memories; the family as well when ministry had their gigs going.

In Melb at least the nightlife is never ending so you don't have to leave. There's always something open. Clubs till 5am, then recovery all Sunday, then industry nights Mon/Tues. I remember when the bowling alley at the casino was the place to be 5-6am because it was the only place in crown that sold alcohol 24 hours. Haha, now it closes at 3am!
