I have neuropathy and am using lyrica to kill the pain.I also take 2.5 mg ativan and .5 klonpin daily(never more)
My one dr prescribed bupe patches for pain and I need to use something to get off the lyrica.
my qustion is:bupe has respriatory effects especially when combined with benzos.I am tolerant ot benzos but not opiods.
so would I stop breathing on these two drugs I have some respiratory issues.Sleep apnea and some shortness of breath.
I know this is silly but no dumbass dr can answer and I dont want to kill myself while dealing w the pain.
can anybody answr this for me.
thanks in advance.

The bupe patches are usually started in really low doses, what are yours? If they are like .2mg or something and you are tolerant to the benzos, you don't have a lot to worry about but if they are higher doses then it could be problematic. You really should discuss this either with your physician or at least a pharmacist. We can only help so much not knowing your unique medical history and lots of other factors... plus we aren't trained professionals!

I know you arent dr's but sometimes dr's arent the best source-not sure what the bupe patch dose is but think its lowest....I wil check with my dr...
med history
fatty liver, enlrged heart a touch of empaesyma and obese and swelling due to lyrica,,,not much to know.
also wondering if a sublingual tab would be better -less chnace of breathing probs.
I know bupe has a ceiling.my other option is oxy but dont wanna go there as well...antidepressants are worse like cymbalta for pain-very hard on the liver and I t
ty for answering
