Anyone else stuck in a job they fucking hate? I use a lot of drugs to make it bearable mostly Opiates, but the worst part is I am alone at work all day from 7am till 6pm.

What do you do?

I was stuck in a dead-end job as a sales associate where the more you know the more they punish you. Was doing opiates on the job to make dealing with the public and managers better. When the opiates ran out I'd go into work drunk or high on pot.

Put in an application to a temp. agency and got a job as a cleaner. Paid the bills for a few months 'til I wised up, got clean, and got my ass back in school.

I'm not saying you should get clean, but def. check out a temp. agency. A job where you clean up shit is a hell of a lot better than a shitty job.

^^exactly I went from IT consultant job that was outsourced for Morgan Stanley. No breaks. No one knew wtf they were doing. Working sats. Be at work for 7am. Now I clean toilets. Take breaks whenever you want. A full lunch hour. Leave early. And I don't make that much less due to a different tax bracket. Oh and I get weekends off. Its bullshit.

And its so mellow I don't need to do drugs.

yeah i work in a shitty hardworking dangerous steel stock holding warehouse job with terrible management. gotta drive 50 miles a day there and back. been doing it far too long. been riding it out, but to be honest i should of gone to college or perused some sort of a career. now im stuck in this bullshit

Yeah dude. I spent more money on weed and skiggabutts this summer than I earned because my job sucked so much. I know how you feel.

It's never too late to go back. I'm 23 and starting on a "real degree" (just an Associates, but you *can* get jobs with this one)--There are people in my courses who are 40+! There's even a lady there who said she retired from her last job--She's gotta be 60, but she looks damn good for 60. I dunno, she said she has grandkids, but my neighbor had grandkids at 30, lawl. Anyways, it's never too late to go back. Seriously. If you can't afford to cut your hours back significantly, look into doing online courses. Or, look for a school that's on the way to where you work--Chances are they have a night class after your job gets out. Take one or two a week for something you're interested in. Best of luck. :)

Best of luck to all of you, too! Cannot stress enough to look into temp. agencies. Cleaning toilets is a million times better than being stuck in a shitty job--Esp. if your job's minimum wage. My job was $8.65 an hour (only 'cause I took classes for raises). Took the cleaning job: $10.25 an hour. Only 30 hours a week, but I got benefits, weekends off, full-hour lunch breaks... *SO* much better. But not something I'd wanna do for the next thirty years.
