Hash orally, prepared on stove, how hot, how long?

I'ma eat some hash tomorrow and since I have no oven I'll have to go with the stove. I was thinking of mixing it with some milk. Now how high temp should it be? Since I'm using a stove the only way for me to know how hot it is is the boiling point. Should it be under or over the boiling point? And for how long should I heat it?
