How you going to afford the ticket to the states mugabe, I'm sure your dad must keep his credit cards hidden after last time? :p

would you be so kind to fill the rest of us in? I'm getting images of you barking like a dog or something and im sure thats not right
You spoke out my own thoughts also, I was wondering what on earth wooffing is! Now I know! Thanks!.....and for the laughs too!

I'll be doing some in Aus in the later part of the year / early part of next year. Sounds cool. :)

I've not bought my membership yet, don't plan to do it till I'm out there as I've no idea where I'll be when.

they suggest contacting them about a month in advance though to make sure they have spaces available.
Does the Australian website let you preview the places before you register so you can see the details of the farm but no contact details??

Oh Spade, i forgot to mention also, that when you sign up online you get access to all of the contact details for the farms, but you still have to wait for your hard copy of the directory which could take quite a while to arrive from australia, and apparently when you turn up they ask for to see the directory just incase you aren't really a WWOOFer

No it doesn't appear to, the UK one does as I've browsed that before.

Yeah I'd better not leave it too late I guess.

woofing is great. i woofed for four monthes in British columbia and had an awesome time, hitchiked all over the place. Vancouver island is one of the coolest most beautiful places on earth!

a lot of the farms i went to didnt need a monthes notice, and if your desperate for a place to stay there are a lot of personal connections you make while traveling (a lot of places seemed to know other farms or household, that wernt listed, that needed help). but it always best to at least plan the first place your going to stay for when you get there. peace and have fun.

Does anyone know if it's legal for a 17 year old to go wwoofing alone in the USA if he has parental consent to do so? I can't find much information, but in the FAQ at the USA wwoof website it says that all minors must be accompanied by a legal guardian, however I thought wwoof only helped volunteers and farmers get connected, and wasn't responsible for much of anything else, they even say elsewhere on the website that "...WWOOF-USA’s function is limited to providing WWOOFers with the current host list and that WWOOF-USA cannot accept responsibility for injury, loss, or damage."

I fucked off to the land where everything and anything is possible (Asia) and haven't looked back since so didn't get round to fannying about on farms for fuck all money.
