Random Has anyone learned a new skill lately or been interested in learning one?

Yeh it's pretty stunning and very bleak at the same time.shes been sending lots of photos of volcanoes that have been used in film [game of thrones etc] plus she sent me a photo of the hotel restaurant menu lol.
24 ponds stirling for a hamburger and chips .the soup was 13 pound .

I'll still be a little envious. I will probably never make it there so I'll live vicariously.

There are so many big stars in that movie. I looked at it earlier because I didn't remember Samuel Jackson being in it but it's been years, many years since I've watched it. I think you are talking about Dennis Hopper.

I hope you do make it there if its a dream because unlike most holidays you wouldn't be dissapointed. I always find the best part of going on holiday is the thought of actually going,most holidays for me turn out to be a bore fest .probably cos I'm without my meds which I dare not take along lol .we have been to Thailand the last 3 years cos I can pick the kratom of the trees [with permission and a very small fee] unfortunately I can't go anywhere else because severe wd starts in around 24 hours .I've built my own prison .but God I love Thailand and the people

Yes I have. The only reason I put it on top of my head is so I can lay down at least when I'm home. I'll have it in a ponytail, 2 braids, space buns (or afro puffs {lady of rage} as I call them). I just don't know how to do anything fancy with it because I've had short hair since high school. Getting up and going was the look I had. I didn't even have to brush it.

I, for one, have had short hair most of my life. I have been letting it grow the last few years and now I don't know what to do with it. I really want to learn how to French braid it myself or any other cool ways to get it out of my face. I missed learning all that when I had pixies or a shaved head.
Anyone have suggestions?

You know what I often do,I have long hair to the tops of my hips.I make one long braid and then tuck it,makes for a nice low bun that holds real well.

That's the thing though. I can braid but it doesn't sit right at the beginning. That's why I want to learn to French braid. I'll put it in a ponytail and braid that, then wrap it around on top of my head, like it is now. To be honest I don't care about how it looks so much as function. I just need to get it out of my face.

Yeah I relate ,most often just braid my bangs and tie them back
