Well after a 1 year and a bit drought of no sex I decided to go and get one. I don't know if it was the right thing to do but I am single and thus meaning it is my choice. However it has got me thinking about my depression and anxiety and how it is has been stopping me from getting into a relationship.

Has anyone here ever done it for the same reasons or just for a bit of fun and if so how was it?

This one seemed to be caring and all but wanted me to come back for more cash, some how I don't think that will be happening.
 
I know a man that has and it just made him feel even more used, but if you just want to get boned why ever not!!!
 
It's perfectly normal esp if you are on a drought, why wouldn't it be that's what they are there for anyway
 
Don't feel bad about seeing one, but don't mistake professional interest for anything else either.

She (I am assuming she? Sorry if I should have said he) has a job to do and she's trying to make sure she has continuing income. That's just good customer service.

Fuck knows if I had the body for it I would have been a pro years ago....and if I'd had the money I would have hired one by now as well. Why waste time in bars with people you may not be at all compatible with when you can get a hot fuck just by paying for it?
 
My philosophy is that a prostitute has more dignity then a chick that sleeps around as she at least admits it and demands money for it where as the other one does it for free.

I've had good/great experiences and disapointing experiences with nice girls, dumb girls, drug users, uni students, illegal immigrants etc
These days I see it as meaningless hedonism(I just have awesome expensive substitute hobbies instead)so stopped going really prefer to be with someone who is prepared to commit to me and have my babies, the whole unsafe proper sex thing really turns me on 8o

Try and be nice, they appreciate that.
Be clean and be kind.
Some johns give girls a hard time.
And the johns that want to reform the girl is giving her the hardest time imaginable.
I've visited over a hundred prostitutes (both male and female) in my time.
It's nothing to be proud of I know, eventually I resolved my problems even though it also broke my wife's heart and my own.
 
After years of not ever considering doing it, for several reasons, mainly I need the girl to be into me to be turned on, and also I always thought to myself that paying for sex was basically giving up and admiting I couldn't get laid, well, I actually gave up and realized I couldn't get laid, so I called one. It wasn't that good, she didn't really put on a good show or anything, and she didn't even seem like she wanted to have me as a customer again.

Anyway, it just felt so weird that i could have sex with a girl i didn't know that easily, just having the right amount of money. I haven't done it again, it hasn't made feel depressed or anything, or happy that I had sex. I have no idea if I'll ever do it again (most likely yes), may be someday I'll get bored and do it, but it seems too much of a mission and it seemed too expensive for what i got in exchange.

I say if you wanna do it, do it, just take it for what it's worth, and don't ever think the girl thinks of you as something more than a customer...
 
i know a guy in his 40s who got hung up on an escort who was like 21 or 22 and tried to turn her into a housewife. she played along for a few months until she'd emptied his bank accounts then she was out the door.
i see no point in prostitution being illegal. making it legal w/ periodic health checks just seems like common sense to me.

Wait... first you tell a bad story about prostitute, and then you say it should be legal? I don't get your reasoning...

I have never been with a whore, but it's illegal in America for a good reason.

Legislating makes these things become far worse things than they really are
 
I dont see what the big deal with prostitutes are anyway. At least with a ho you know you will get some, instead of paying for a date and listening to some chick drone on an on bout self absorbed shit and just wants a free meal in the 1st place. just remember your paying for it anyway you slice it.

working as a counsellor in the sydney red light district has had to be one of the most depressing (and eye opening) job's ever. the exploitation that surrounds this industry is relentless. i don't necessarily think prostitution should be illegal, but i would never date a man who's seen sex workers.
