The smokestik? It's a fake cigarette that takes cartreges.. you can even get them without nicotine to cure that "oral fixation"... I am wondering if this is a "safe" way to quit. I know the gum has nicotine but is this smokestik thing regulated by the FDA? Anyhow any input would be appretiated. Thanks.
 
No, not regulated. It's actually against them.
Yeah, it's better than smoking health wise, but not as big of a buzz as one, so you will be pressured if you don't keep your cool.
 
I found one at a tobbaco store I am gonna give a try. I think it will put an end to this madness that is me smoking. I don't think the gum would have done it. So wish me luck guys... I have less than half a pack left. Then it's all over. No more 2 packs a day for me.
 
i wouldnt be concerned with that.. most people who get these are already addicted to nicotene. i have seen people with these, and they say its pretty convenient to smoke inside with them, and say it did allow them to quit smoking.

get name brand, something about the ceramic heaters in the knock offs is bad ive been told
 
Yea this one is name brand, I am getting an entire "starter kit"... the woman at the store explained it all to me. Apparantly the cheap ones really suck and people hate them and they don't work well. I am headed out when my husband gets home from work to take the plunge. lol
 
good stuff, i hear this is also a lot cheaper than smoking, even if you roll your own
 
I saw these at the mall before. Weird...

The funny thing is, they say you can smoke inside with them, but maaaan, the hassle. Like, who wouldn't come up to you and bust your balls for "smoking" one of those things indoors. How may times would you have the conversation "it's not a cigarette...it's just vapors...blah blah."

I dunno.
 
^LOL I got it, and I will put up with that shit and laugh about it. I find the dumbest shit amusing sometimes. No need to explain it's not a real cigarette and the vapors don't smell like cigarette smoke or like anything at all. The menthol vapor smells minty though.. lol
 
^Yea I am sure the novelty will wear off, and I hope it does.. I want to be smoke free all together. It's hard to smoke it while my husband is smoking regular cigs.. but I am determined.

i know, but "eciggs" are healthier and cheaper.

most people i know that quit say cold turkey is the only way. i tried before and its tough when your friends/family are smokers, just push through that first week and ittl be okay :)

Thanks, I am going the E-Cig route.. Cold turkey is not for me especially with me kicking Xanax at the same time. I have my Ecig.. and today I managed to only smoke 2 actual cigarettes. Which is way better than 2 packs. I am on the right path. Thanks for the support! I will make this happen!
 
i actually got the e-cig and at first it tastes like ass but then you definately get used to it. my favorite is the menthol cartriges they taste like peppermint and smell really good. high nicotine too.
 
^I like the menthol alot myself. Better than the actual tobacco kind. It is taking a minute to get used too.. I just got mine. It's weird, I was not a menthol smoker.. but I prefer the menthol for the E-cig.

I use "Blu" E-Cigs and LOVE them hope that yave Luck. Nicotine is the hardest drug to kick for me. Peace!

PS: the FDA just obtained the ability to regulate cigarettes, so Im suspisious of their non-support for E-Cigs. I find my cig intake is miniscule compaired to What it once was. Cheek out some Youtube vids on E-Cigs. very handy, plus you can "smoke" indoors!
