has anyone ever home brewed wine, beer, liquor? is it worth it or not? is there some real easy drinks to home brew?

Why the hell would you waste your time making alcohol when you can buy it around the corner??? If you want to brew something up- make a large salty batch of sodium based GHB in your bath tub-it will stink up your house for hours and you can officially call yourself a chemist...why did I respond to this?

Hell yes...and don't listen to that guy above. It is fun, that is the reason to do it. I wouldn’t say it is cheaper, but that’s not the point.
There are a million books etc on how to do it. The only thing I suggest, is follow the instruction VERY carefully. And store your bottles in a place they can explode safely. I have had batches explode in the middle of the night, and others that were flat and sweet. Some have been amazing though, and the mead….mmmmm. You have to practice a bit, but there is nothing better than sipp'n a good brew that you made. It is legal in most places. And you can make your own Bud-beer. yeehaw.

my aunt used to make a shit load of homemade wine,it tasted good ,but not worth havin the SHITS for a week.(not me someone else)

but i dont know about beer though,i would like to try it though,,SO HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO BREW BEER /LIQUOR...ANYONE KNOW!!?

hell yes.
the reason to do it is because it is a rewarding hobby. everyone will want to be your friend, and come to your house to drink your sweet sweet homebrew.
i think the best how-to books are the ones by charlie papazian.

I've made some really shitty, ghetto beer before that couldn't even give me a buzz. But watching it ferment day by day was very interesting. It was undistilled.

I made several batches of beer when I was an alcoholic. When I became a pothead, I became disinterested in alcohol. Though I would highly suggest it, its much cheaper to make your own in the long run. Besides if you don't screew it up (beer = easy to make) the only time you buy beer from around the corner will be the times you are waiting for your batch to finish up.

It doesn't take too long. Wines take years, beers months to a year depending on the type of beer. Liquor the longer the better , but a monht will do. Everclear.....2 hours.

yeah, its fun.
id look into the very profitible business of opening a bootleg also... they stop selling alkohol legally in many places at like 9pm to 2am. so open a bootleg. a friend of mine on the southside of chi-town has been makin back doing this.

yeah, i wanna make some cheap easy wine though. maybe using welches frozen juice concentrate and letting it ferment. any ideas on this?

MMMMM jail house prune-o now that is class.....
Just a note on bootlegging.... don't get busted with a still, or sell your booze to anything police related. It is a big no no.... and they will fine you and fine you and fine you some more. Unless of course you can pay off old Boss Hog.

how could Everclear be made in two hours? or was that a joke and im a dumbass for bringing back this old topic.... oh well tis the season for ghetto liquor so i thought id bring this back with a question

they call it yayo up north, and yay for short in the south- Playa Fly "Funk N Bock"

i've homebrewed. homebrew rules. a couple of points:
a) beer is never distilled. that's just crazy talk.
b) don't buy one of those stupid kits you see at macy's or bloomingdales. they're a waste of money and the beer will taste like shit.
c) don't add sugar to your wort (the unfermented beer) unless you want something that tastes disgusting (well, it's ok for priming your bottles but that's neither here nor there and most folks use krausen or dme for that anyway).
d) buy a book, preferably one by charlie papazian. they're the best written ones out of the 4-5 i have.
e) it will impress chicks.
f) btw - it's fucking easy to make pretty decent beer.
