Has a Pharmacy every lost your paper script?

Yes, Yes they have.

The doctor changed (upped) my dose of temazepam and gave me a new paper script I brought it to my regular pharmacy, in a condescending and swift manner they told me "You already got your pills for the month". I explained my dosage had been changed.

They once again told me, no not a chance, we wont fill it. I said fine, give me the script im taking my business elsewhere. . . . this is where I was suprised.

"No we won't do that" ... "Excuse me thats my property hand it back"....

they say no again, I start to get loud and make a scene. They threaten to call my doctor, for some stupid reason I say fine whatever I'll come back in five days when you'll fill it.

SUPRISE not there any more in 5 days. I called my doctor and he straightened it out....but damn.

edit* So yes they were defensive, My doctor formally reemed their asses via telephone and switched my script to a different pharmacy.

Yea mine was for 150 roxicodone 15s... and they always give me a condescending look when I get it filled. I dropped it off saturday night and my dr had forgotten to put the date on the script. Anyways I called my dr this morning and told them what was happening and magically they couldnt find the script. Luckily my Dr and her receptionist have been so amazing to me, they threatened to report this pharmacy if my script did not re appear or if some other issues arose. They're always super shitty when I get my xanax, klonopin and roxy filled. After they spoke with my drs receptionist they called me back within 30 minutes and told me it would be ready for me to come in any time today and pick it up. What a mess. Thanks for sharing your story.

Even my dr's receptionist said "It's not their job to do ANYTHING but fill the scripts they are given and they need to mind their fucking business otherwise".. I love my dr.

^that would be infuriating. if you were in the right, as it sounds you were, you should have 411'd your local non-emergency police number. I bet you would have gotten your script back half-way through.

but my appointments almost always fall mid-way through my last refill, and I always fill the new script as soon as I get it. never met any friction over it. sucks you did.

Edit: oops, that was for smokey's post, but your story sounds aggravating as well, violenza. your doctor's receptionist is wrong though. Doctors fuck up all the time, it's good to have someone who knows something about those drugs, to make sure Grandma isn't taking her bloodthinners this week because she is also getting her pre-surgery benzo filled for next week; or that because a patient is getting drug A from one doc and drug B from another, and their combination is potentially dangerous, someone needs to be called to clarify that the prescribing doctors are aware (even if it is not the result of pill-shopping; it could also just be a chance mistake/delay in faxing patient files from one practice to the next) of the combo their patient will be on; etc. at least that is what they should be doing. i sometimes suspect they are just really, really good pill-counters.

Yea, it's the pharmacy not the dr. They don't put "dates" of restriction on my script as they want me to get them when its conveniant to me not when I am in a shit ton of pain. Given all the other bullshit with my primary care dr dropping me for no reason and trying to label me a drug seeker and having my pain mgt dr stand up for me and now this. It's just too much bullshit. I am gonna fill this script there and find a new pharmacy because I cant deal with their nonsense. It is a large chain pharmacy as well. I just have to fill out paperwork with my pain dr because its in my contract with them that I go to the same pharmacy.

My dr was gonna call the authorities on them if they didnt produce the script, they were given til business closing time today. It was amazing at how fast they came up with it.. lol

That is so moronic on the pharmacy's part. Sometimes I think the pharmacist gets a little high minded and begin's to think he/her is God, and can overturn any prescription written by a mere doctor. I'm glad to hear that your doctor reamed their asses and gave them a deadline to fill it. Is it a chain or a mom&pops? I would think chain. Don't blame you for moving on from these jerkoff!

Good luck with the next pharmacy.

Thanks all. Yes it's a big american chain pharmacy. I went in there tonight to pick the script up and they claimed they didn't "have a script for me".. then when I spoke to the manager my script magically appeared. I don't know what kind of nonsense was going on but I counted all my pills and made sure they were the right ones. Jesus fuck. I hear costco is a good pharmacy, I will have to check them out. Ugh what is it with primary care drs and fucking pharmacists this week?

well my pharmacy is beast i can give my 13 year old cousin a scrip for MY 150 hydrocodone pills 10/660 mg and they fill it up right for him, same with my xanax bars, 2 mg k-pins, and roxicodone 15mg they do not give a shit haha.

Yes, of course man, and he still has to get high off celexa!

I'm pretty friendly with my pharmacist now (unfortunately), so I haven't had any problems, but over here we don't seem to have as large a stigma associated with pain medication as you guys seem to. Of course this is just speculation.

They lost another script of mine, so I made the switch today!! I have heard good things about this pharmacy, they're nice my cousin is a manager in the store and they have great prices. So I am good with that let's see how it goes!!

Who the fuck gets high on celexa? lol I take it for my panic attacks... who the fuck gets high on anti depressants.. lol what a fucking tool bag. I see more and more lies from alprazolam.. What a douche.

I had it happen a couple of times now. The last time I had left the script in for a couple of weeks, gotten a receipt for it and personally spoke to the idiot pharmacist (she was really strange) and told her if she needed to "verify" it that she had a couple of weeks to do so. It was for 100 oxycodone. I go back on the date of the script, go to the counter and ask for my prescription. She says she doesn't have the prescription?? I say, well why do I have this receipt? She shrugs. So I pull out my cell phone and start dialing my doctors number and while I'm doing this I ask her if she has perhaps dispensed my written narcotic to someone else? I tell her I'm going to get the Narcs in as well to do a count of her narcotics, through my doctor. Miraculously a pill bottle is pulled up and shoved in front of me to get me off the damn phone. I changed pharmacies after that.

Shitty ass liar you!
Why the hell are you trying to get high off DXM, if you have this shit?

Yea they do. They think every pain mgt dr treats their patients like shit and thinks they are junkies. Mine already threatened to report them for losing the script then the pharmacy called and said it would be ready in 30 minutes I go in there a few hours later and they said there was so script so I got on the phone called my dr, did the same thing you did and MAGICALLY a bottle of 150 roxis appear. I do feel bad for the people who's dr's aren't as good and caring as mine because they could get fucked in a situation like that.

It seems more like your doctor doesn't give a shit. Why prescribe 10/660mg, when he can save your liver by giving you the 10/325. Maybe your should bring that up to him/her at your next appointment, or maybe have your 13yr old cousin do it for you.
