Has a friend ever stolen from you?

I suspect that one of my girlfriends stole 5 dollars from my wallet when I wasn't looking. I really hope I'm wrong because that would really hurt me if it was true. How should I confront her about it? Has anything like this ever happened to anyone here? What did you do about it?

A guy I used to call my best friend stole 600 dollars from me, my entire dope stash, as well as all my suboxone leaving me to withdraw from heroin for the next couple days. When I confronted him he actually had the nerve to accuse me of stealing from him. I almost knocked him out right then and there. I haven't talked to him in years even though we are both clean.

Accusations of theft usually end friendships. Whether it be 5 dollars or 5,000 dollars. It shows your lack of trust for them. Whether your friend stole from you or not think carefully about confronting her.

No, but if it ever happens, that friendship is over. I'd have to be absolutely sure, though.

Yes, twice. I had a "friend" that stole a pipe from me and also another "friend"/former roommate that stole a couch and loveseat from me. In the end I just let it go and dropped them as friends. It wasn't worth the drama to me to do anything too drastic about it.
