URGENT: We need immediate action.
Trump may be preparing to announce—possibly tomorrow or Monday—that he will reschedule marijuana

Dear President
@realDonaldTrump,

America cannot Be Great Again if marijuana is descheduled, legalized, promoted, and given a free pass.
This drug is destroying lives—especially the mental health of our young men. It is a significant factor in violent tragedies across the country, including school shootings.

Why expand access to a drug known to cause psychosis—and one that is the #1 substance linked to schizophrenia, even above meth? These high-potency products are so toxic that people are dying from CHS, yet the industry keeps calling them “safe.”

Stop following the profits. Start listening to the science—and to the families being harmed. Their pain is being ignored.

I’m supervising the court-ordered community education hours with a bright young woman, Bryn Spjcher, who had no idea marijuana could trigger a psychotic break that ended her friend’s life. She nearly died, too. This is the reality no one wants to face.

We cannot stay silent. Lives depend on it. We need awareness. We need accountability. We need to protect our communities before more lives are shattered.

Calm down. Politicians from all sides are too addicted to their "image" to do the only responsible thing which is to end the « War on Drugs », and Donald Trump certainly is no exception. Not to mention there's plenty of money and control in it to please such a freak.

ending cannabis prohibition isn't about profits but rather ending the harms of crimilization which are far greater than the harms of cannabis, particularly when there is a totally unregulated black market. there is another post in this forum which describes a user who thought they were using cannabis oil but it was actually a synthetic cannabinoid. the synthetics have a far greater potential for harm and the only reason that they are commonly sold on the black market as cannabis is due to the market having zero regulation. I'm sure that person would have much rather had actual THC than spice but with the current state that is not where the profits lie for black market sellers

we need regulation not prohibition

It was way more fun to grow and sell then it was illegal. Those were the good ol days of weed. I miss those times. I miss real deal Jamaican brick ses.

Boooo…

Step in the wrong direction.

For generations people in many countries across the world enjoyed cannabis with generally little ill-effects. The problem isn't cannabis per se, but the super-potent strains that are being bred as well as the synthetic cannabinoids. It's mainly those which have been linked to triggering psychosis, and even so a latent pre-disposition has to be present in the individual.

Actually Cannabis itself hasent gotten any stronger. Landrace sativas have been around since time began really. I have had a few stronger what i call frankenstrains that are like 30 some odd percent but to be honest those strains always suck. Hash has stayed the same pretty much to the only thing thats really changed is now you can grow those plants better and also the concentrates

But ive personally never really seen psychosis from weed even in the psych ward. I and another guy in there where diagnosed with weed psychosis but my problem was cotards and non drug induced psychosis where as his problem was meth

it's a trigger for psychosis for people with psychotic disorders. it has happened to me at least once, going to psych ward from just weed.
good on the people who can have a healthy relationship with this plant, i for sure fuckin cant.
<3 cbd

I know from mentioning it previously that people found it hard to believe.

But the drug most associated with mental illness on a per-user basis isn't a stimulant or a psychedelic but cannabis. Lifeline Publications carried out a large study and although they had noted the association, I don't think they had recognized the scale of the issue.

Just to be clear, I still think it better that cannabis be legal, but I quit using when the stuff that contained significant amounts of CBD became impossible to source. I've always found THC alone to be dysphoric. I'm sure the vast majority of people who choose to consume cannabisin a responsible manner are not harming their mental health.

I do appreciate that a sample size of one has no statistical value, but it's still and interesting insight.

If we legalize that means we can REGULATE - have upper limits for THC levels, guarantee the product is free from potentially toxic contaminants, etc.

–Some interesting info I posted yesterday:

❝ ❞ People don't realize that cannabis is a psychedelic and every time you light up the joint you're opening up a portal. So if you have this low quality cannabis that was grown indoor and sprayed with chemicals and pimped out for profit you're not going to have a very enlightening experience. That's why it's dumbing you down. I always say the dispensary weed, it makes you numb, dumb, and disconnected from yourself. That is how I feel. I try to give it a chance. It never works. Every once in a while, you'll find a dispensary that has an organic option. But if a brand is not going out of their way to let you know that—hey, we're doing this organically, we're doing it in living soil, we're not adding anything unnecessary in here, they're very transparent about their growing process—if they're not doing this, it's not worth consuming that cannabis. And so i'm very proud of what we have here, like i said, "Chill tincture" and "Stoney tincture", this is a great way to ingest plant material. As you guys know, it's very potent, very integrative into the body.
