Harry Potter/6th Book/Half-Blood Prince *SPOILERS*

wow... there's the sensitivity again... i actually didn't realize
that i was quoting all your stuff...

oh wells...

my fault for forgetting how thin-skinned people seem
to get on a faceless-"nameless" internet possibly a world
apart...

i shant make that mistake again, i suppose... at least,
with you.

Why do you have to act like such a jerk? We're discussing different opinions on a book, but you're trying to make it so much more. You are quoting me, thus um.. yeah.. quoting my stuff.

Quit trying to press my buttons repeatedly.

that's just it, i'm not trying to press your buttons

i didn't say that i DIDN"T quote you.

i said that i didn't REALIZE that i was quoting only you...

i don't "know" anyone here on bluelight really, so i never make a habit of seeing who it is i'm quoting b-c it really doesn't matter...

but alas, go ahead and have the last word... i've already
apologized to you once... apparently you're too sensitive
to be both "attacked" and apologized to.

i shant make that mistake again either.

Um.. yeah. when you are quoting me, and I'm the only person saying it.. ummm.. yeah.

When did you apologize? I could give a rats ass if you apologize. We are discussing a BOOK. A BOOK. we all have different OPINIONS on a BOOK.

I haven't attacked anybody for their opinions on a book and I expect the same result. It has nothing to do with a last word. It has everything to do with being fair, and making logical sense out of this conversation. I've read these books way too many times to take offense to something that I didn't write.

apparently, you do give a rat's ass because, 4 vollies into
it and you're still talking about it as IF you "could give a
rat's ass" on it...

jesus, since when did we fuckin' have to spell shit out
on the internet... i thought uses of ;) was supposed
to fuckin' mean something...

and in case you didn't "read between" the fuckin' lines,
the second to last post of mine (now the third) where
i admit my mistake (hello) was an apology... too bad
you couldn't read it without your "could give a rat's ass
but physix MUST be picking on me" glasses.

Soooo about that Harry Potter....:D

i liked it.

and you?

;)

Correction: I dont care if you apologize. I really don't.

We are discussing opinions here. I'm not apologizing for my grief over Dumbledore, I don't expect you to apologize for anything. I said before, this is all opinions, and there is no need to apologize. Jesus.

jesus

I WAS NOT APOLOGIZING FOR THE FUCKIN BOOK or my opinions or yours...

i was apologizing for you mis-understanding my post volleys as an attack.

jesus fuckin' h christ is write.

dam, follow along.

Does anyone else refuse to see the movies because they failed to make Potter's eyes green like they are in the book? :X

you know... i'm ashamed to admit i never really picked up on that.

i actually came to like the series thru the movies first... we see them in
our 3D class and i grew to respect the story as i grew to respect the art
to create the movies.

so i was already enamoured with the movie before i was "tainted" by
the books. ;)

Btw physix, please stop provoking Lori because you'll make me angry. And that would not be good. The two of us might eat you alive. :D

i gladly welcome any such threat/challenge....

(or is it a "dirty promise"????)

So... Harry's holding a piece of Voldy's soul, eh?

more on this....

ok.. i may revise my prediction a bit...

either Harry is Voldy's Horcrux or his scar is...

someone help me out: wasn't there mention of lightning
somewhere in Book 6... like some symbol on some building/house
or something... i cannot remember, exactly... maybe in Dumbledore's
Pensive remembering the collection of a young Tom Riddle???

that would then explain the lightning bolt...

dammit.... now i gotta find that part again...

Oooh good question. I'm thinking Regulus Black too -- I can't think of anyone else. But I guess it could be some other person we've never heard of as well, or some relative of a preexisting character (such as say, someone from the Bones family).

she'll probably introduce a new character... altho' i think
she should probably stick to an established character or
something...

what about Neville's leaniage...? Anything on his mother's
side with a "B" in the surname?

also,. i'm interested in Dudley a bit. In OoP, did anyone else think
Dudley was freakin' out a bit TOO much when the Dementor's came?
I mean, if muggles can't see them, and they couldn't see them when
they were out-and-about in HBP, then, you'd think Dudley wouldn't
have been so scared in OoP.... right? or did I read that wrong?

Then, in HBP, Dumbley made a remark about the abusive of a child
that made Dudley start to think "hey, when was I ever abused?"

Now that could have been just comedic attempt to say "ha ha look
how clueless Dudley is... he thinks Dumbley is talking about him!!"

but it also makes sense that, since Petunia had a magical
sister, maybe she IS magical (a squib, perhaps) and simply
resented Lilly so much that she surpressed it... or maybe
she just gave birth to a magical baby and their innate hatred of all
things magical fed into Dudley who then supressed it, himself.

I would think that someone like Dumbledore WOULD consider
that a form of abuse....

I wonder if Dudley will play an important role...

even if he doesn't, tho, i'd like to know if he SHOULD have been
magical.

I don't think there was anything remarkable about Dudley's reaction to the dementor. I think you are definitey reading into things too much.

I interpreted Dumby's comment about Dudley being abused as referring to spoiling him and letting him get fat and making him grow up into a bully.
