Harry Potter/6th Book/Half-Blood Prince *SPOILERS*

Hermione and Ron's meanness to each other really reminded me of teenage crushes, though. "He calls you names because he likes you". Stupid? Yes! But 16/17 year olds ARE stupid.

I was stupid like that when I was in the 6th grade, not when I was 16/17. It didn't make sense to me. Hermione was never kind to Ron even when she was dating Krum, and he was never kind to her during that. It just seems forced, their dating. I think it doesn't make sense.

But in all seriousness, their dating - I could give a rats ass. I miss Dumbledore. :(

Just the people who are REALLY mad at the relationships. Like mad enough to refuse to read book 7 because there aren't the homosexual relationships that they expected (are you kidding me?) or because Hermione and Harry didn't hook up.

I think that Hermione and Ron as a couple is lame. Rarely did they ever exchange kind words. I thought Harry and Hermione would be better suited and thus I don't accept him(Harry) and Ginny as a couple. It seemed sudden and rushed.

If she doesn't write the last book soon I will be even more furious. She has no reason not to, PLUS I recall interviews where she stated that she might write more than 7 books. She better make up her fuckin' mind.

she's gonna write other booksm but not in HP series.

she's been saying for 3 years that there will be no prequels, no
"son of harry potter" and no book 8...

as far as "no reason to"... i think a newborn is reason enough...

and ron and hermoine isn't half as lame as Harry and Hermoine...
and how predictable would that be....??

ron and hermoine have been flirting and bickering (like bf-gf)
ever since they met... and it's been MORE obvious since book 4...
so that's, what? 3 years...??

"kind words"...? since when has that been needed? how many
pigtails have boys pulled on the heads of the girls they liked...?
or how many girls have insulted boys, only to turn out to like them?

happens all the time in life... hell, the biggest boy crush i ever
had in high school i was a complete ass to our entire high school
career...

Besides, Ron and Hermy have not officially been listed as a couple,
yet... it's just Harry's perception since they sought comfort in each
other's arms... Harry perceptions have been known to be wrong,
hasn't it? and when his perceptions are wrong, so usually are ours.
But i don't recall them coupling up like Harry and Ginny did.

I do agree that the Harry and Ginny thing was a bit forced...
she could have AT LEAST introduced it Book 5 or summat...

and it doesn't look like you need to accept Harry and Ginny... he did
break up with her...

Uhm... did we read the same book? She was deeply
concerned with his reaction... She wanted him to
ask her and he didn't... She was mean to him b-c he was
being a typical boy prat and not reading the signs
(apparently he isn't the only one not reading between
the lines ;) ) ... and then all thru out the fifth book the same thing...
Hermy and Ron being REALLY sensitive to each other... come on...

anyone could have -- and should have -- seen it coming...
not forced at all (imo)... 3 books, 3 years in the making.

and then even the hint that Lilly hated James and, after her
confronting James about the Snape thing, she was always mean
to him... and what... they started going out (GASP) 7th year...
Ron and Hermy haven't blatantly said "hey we're dating"...
but i bet they will "next year" which would have been
their 7th year if they weren't skipping out on school (if they do)...

Rowling always uses patterns...

Oh all the Remus/Sirius shippers? They're NUTS. I don't really see the basis for that pairing but uhh whatever. I'm not invested one way or the other when it comes to that 'ship.

Personally though I like to think of Draco and Snape together, and Snape saying, 'Suck my dick, Draco!'. =D Also, all the fan fic on this pairing is so cheesy and horrible and hilarious.

I really don't care. I could care less who couples up, honestly. I just think, as 'mature' as Harry is supposed to be, considering his preoccupations with Voldemort, he'd be a little less immature with his romantic life. ;) But, like I said, I consider it to be pointless and lame.

but, physix, i have read reports or stories from Rowling saying that the final book may not be FINAL. I don't read pointless gossip. I am aware that she may write under a pen name. That might be a good idea if she keeps on the way she is. ;) (i miss dumbledore)

I just don't think Ron and Hermione hooking up has any valid reasons. In regards to your edit Physix - yes we read the same book. Admittedly, I've read the books too many times, dozens, I'm sure, for each. I don't believe that Ron and Hermione are suited due to my several readings of each book. Ron is pigheaded and immature, and Hermione is very cerebral and academic, barely a Gryffindor but just enough of one. :) I of course think she's suited to be a Gryffindor but just not Rons g/f simply. I don't feel it and I don't believe it. I also don't think that is a point of the books so it doesn't really bother me that I disagree with anybody about this relationship so I REFUSE to discuss it further.

I am in mourning.:(

my

god

i'm sure Rowling probably toyed with a gay character... but new that it would probably mean that she'd only make $500 million instead of $1 billion (reportedly) off of HP

;)

I had hoped for Harry/Hermione but I've accepted that it's not going to happen. The Ginny thing WAS rushed but her character has grown on me alot and honestly, she has more spunk than Hermione who is a little too goody-two-shoes for me at times. Plus she's supposed to be hot, and well, red-headed like Harry's mom. Freudian you could say.

I don't know what she'll do when Voldy's gone if she plans on continuing with HP. Then again I'm getting really sick of Voldy.

That's what I'm talking about. :D As though a mainstream book targeted to children (at leat initially) was going to go into hot, man-man sex.

And I don't think the Ginny/Harry thing was rushed. She has had a crush on him since I think book 2? My memory isn't very good but I remember thinking early on that they would end up together.

apparently you have been reading gossip.

;)

according to Rowling herself in a recent
interview with Katie Curic (which you
can find here, she says:

Yeah. It’s going to be really emotional to say goodbye. I’m going to find it very difficult. But it must be done, it must be done. It’s been a fabulous ride, but you have to know when to get off, and I know when to get off, and it will be the end of book seven.

yeah, she may have thought 5 or 6 years ago
that maybe it'd last longer... and probably would
have if she hadn't already made billions off of it...
but, ever since Book 4 she's said "7 books"...

she's known at least since the second movie... i recall her saying it
in the DVD special edition in the interview sections...

so... i'd like to see the reports that show her
saying "there may be more"... maybe we can
get a date on them or summat....?

since when do you need valid reasons to date...?

Did anybody else but me notice Rowling used the word

SLUT ?? :)

hahahah yeah, i gasped aloud at that part... then
i felt like a big d0rk...

I think G/H was rushed from Harry's side. It was just kind of abrupt.

Lori I wanna know where slut was. Dammit.

Regarding weird pairings (such as gay ones), I can see how it's fun to play around with the idea but not liking the actual books because your pairing has no chance in hell is plain stupid.

It's just my opinion. Fuck off, seriously. 8( I don't agree, that's FINAL.

I've read it in the past, about her saying the last book may not be the last book, as in, awhile ago. I don't know when it was, I'm not going to pretend, but I know it was fairly recent. Whatever - research more if you'd like, it's not like I'd really believe it since I dont even want to read the 7th.

Thanks for ridiculing my most ridiculous points, the ones I don't care about.

my gay friend Michael gets all huffy any
time there's heterosexual pairings in
movies.. especially kissing and shit...
and i mean VERBALLY huffy...

it's gotten to the point to where i refuse
to see movies with him because of it...

i definitely won't see HP 4 with him b-c of
Harry's attraction to CHo growing at that
time... that's all i need is for him to ruin
the movie at 12:01am opening night b-c
he's got a thing against seeing a guy and girl
kiss.

fag.

wow....

way to get defensive over such "ridiculous points"...

that'll be a nice ulcer you'll have when you're 30.

oh and look

8(

i can do it too!!

we can do it together!!

i mean, really.. what's the point in ever posting -- or talking -- if you're
just gonna get mad at someone calling into question what you've "read"...

It's my OPINIONS, for the last time. Get over yourself. I'm not going to defend my thoughts and feelings over a book. Obviously, it made me emotional, and you're nitpicking me by constantly quoting me. Knock it off. You're no better by constantly attempting to criticize me.
