Stimulants harm reduction during an amphetamine binge

If somewhere were to binge on amphetamines(adderall) what supplments or food or whatever is needed to lesses the impact on ones heath?

The day starts on Friday night I hit up a rave, and snort a bunch of adderall all night long, then keep going throught the whole day on saturday then there's another rave on saturday night, and I keep snorting more amphetamines. By Sunday i've already snorted an unknown amount of adderall somewhere on the triple digit amount, and I crash very hard. Is there any way to reduce the crash? How sustainable is it to do this every weekend? I do rave every weekend.

btw, for people wondering why I don't just stick to MDMA, it dosn't do it for me anymore, which is why I'm doing speed.

Downers may make you feel better during the crash, but from the point of view of harm reduction, I would not recommend their use because you may find yourself dependent on them (not necessarily physically) to cope with the come down.

If I were you I would take multivitamens of some description while using. Try to eat at regular intervals over the weekend and stay hydrated even though you will certainly feel like you don't need to eat anything. This might make the comedowns a bit better.

Consider using the pills the way they were intended (orally). I'm not convinced there is that much to gain from doing lines of them when they are quite corrosive to the muscous membranes. Admittedly, this is from the point of view of an ex-junky, i.e. anything worth putting up your nose is "better" in a syringe, although even I draw the line (no pun intended) at shooting pills.

If MDMA lost it's magic then I guess the advantage to speed (poor man's coke) is that it just keeps working, time after time. The disadvantage is that over time, you might find yourself so scared to comedown you redose instead, at times you may not have intended (e.g. after the weekend is over).

I guess the main draw back to using speed is there is a good chance of experiencing psychosis at some time point even after cessation of use.

The irony is the joker who suggested heroin in the post above is actually correct from a medical perspective (well, I think so, anyway). Despite it's reputation and the fact it is highly addictive, it is not as toxic as many substances and psychosis is not an issue. Wasn't the father of modern surgery a closet morphine addict?

I guess the main thing is to do your own research and take anything any other drug user tells you with a grain of salt because to be frank most people I have encountered seem to be full of advice about drugs that is just bullshit to justify their drug/ingestion method of choice. For example junkies would try to tell me that injection is the "cleanest" way of taking drugs when obviously eating them is because that way at least your organs get a chance to filter the crap out before it hits your bloodsteam.

Anyway, stay safe... I'm rambling like an old man on pills when I'm actually quite sober and, well, too old too be young and not old enough to be middle aged :)
 
Ok so you're snorting adderall, so its definately not pure. Sorry I was half asleep when I responded before. If you care about your nose I suggest either purify your pills of binders/fillers (search engine anhydrous acetone wash) or get a saline nasal spray from a drug store. That is if your dead set on snorting. A lot of people (me included) seem to find mixing it with warm water and drinking it with some type of antacid ingested beforehand (to decrease excretion of amp) is a much smoother and rewarding experience. Snorting will increase tolerance more rapidly and have much harsher crashes.
All that aside, if you do snort it, the two above suggestions may save your nose. You can even mix the crushed adderall (please tell me ur not snorting xr beads lol) into a nasal spray with water and get the snorting effect with that.

In terms of a benzo for comedown, if you're not tweaking every night, having a low dose of a mild benzo for crashes/psychosis/anxiety problems may be one of the most useful tools you can have, but I would advise you make a habit of doing benzos as well, moreso an only when necessary type of thing. If you want something thatll just knock you the fuck out so you can sleep go for an antipsychotic (lower abuse potential) like seroquel. Z-benzos maybe for sleep too? Ambien?

Magnesium - about 250mg/day perhaps. Reduces tolerance buildup, hypertension, jaw clenching

Benzos - depending on whether anxiolytic or hypnotic etc, they can help you remain functional and alleviate a lot of the psychosis/anxiety as well as help sleep (use sparingly and read or ask about them if you choose any). If taken in low doses during binge perhaps they can help reduce oxidative stress/neurotoxicity (so can not using too much :P)

Z-benzos - sleep aids. Ambien, lunesta. For sleep...lol

Antipsychotics - seroquel is all I can think of since its a DA antagonist, but I guess maybe thorazine etc work? They'll probably knock you out

phenylalanine/l-tyrosine - dopamine and norepinepherine precursors, take after binge to help restore you're neurotransmitters

Melatonin - metabolite of 5ht that regulates sleep cycle, easily available otc, not very sedating but may help restore sleep patterns if disturbed

Vasodilators - depending on if its a problem, if you have freezing extremities, ginseng or vincopetine may help dilate blood vessels

Chewing gum - if you grind your teeth :P

Otc others - valerian root, kava (altho it has mao-b effect so that's questionable), multivitamins or if you're at a vitamin shop look for one of the memory or mind multivitamins with monoamine precursors, gaba, all the stuff to help your brain out. If you're serious about your health and plan on continuously tweaking out send me a pm and ill link you to some bulk nutrition suppliers that will have stuff that will be useful for you in maintaining you're health and be less expensive than the vitamin shoppe etc.
 
My have an rx for adderall 40mg 3 times a day.... its not really working anymore...negative sideeffects yes...but not helping me focus, not fidget, listen to the actual words people say when they're talking to me! I just hear bla bla bla bltdjlg its embarassing really. on the treadmill i read a magazine, ipod, and the little personal tv on it...during commercials- ipod ....embarassing..i use all three at once=and text- alll while on adderrall thats supposed to help this??!! I see my doc monday, if I got his tp rx me dexadrine for a month then after the month go back on adderall? I have no clue what would be beter...its the worst!
Any ideas would be appreciated

Are you talking "triple digit" as in mgs or the amount of pills ?

If its the latter then fucking hell 8o

I always found a 10mg valium, some decent food and sleep/rest is the best comedown tactic.

I doubt he means the latter; you'd have to have a ridiculous amphetaine tolerance to even consider attempting a 1g session (slow cumulative build or rapid redosing) without planning some serious recovery time between doses.

And hot damn getting all that shit up your nose would be nigh impossible. After the first few attempts most wouldn't be absorbed anyway; you'd be lucky to get 4 or 5 10mg dexies up there in the first place.
 
I use adhd meds recreationally occasionally. Dex rather than adderall though and nowhere near those amounts. 30-50 mg of dex over maybe 12 hours probly no more than every 6-8 weeks.

When I do I always make sure ive got something to come down with despite the relativly low doses I am using. As I write this I am coming down from 35 mg of dex used over the course of 11 hours. I munched 10mg of oxy 45 mins ago(and a little dxm to potentiate) and i feel pretty nice. Im going to take the other 10mg soon. Oxy is a rarity for me so I save it for coming down with, or when im hungover or sick and make sure I take it slowly so I dont barf and waste any:)

Back to the point, I wouldnt take uppers without first securing some opiates or benzos to take afterward. They make the experience of coming down actually enjoyable and the temptation to keep redosing on amps is much less because you dont dread the comedown.

Depending on where you live you may be able to buy dxm over the counter or at least benadryl, and hopefully low mg codeine pills which you can use for CWE if you dont have access to harder opiates or benzos. Where I live I can even just pop OTC codeine tabs if im desperate, 1g of paracetemol and 600mg of ibuprofen total which is a completly safe dose will net me 68mg of codeine which isnt a lot but potentiated it can be a life saver when you're coming down or hungover.
 
i have same i start on friday finish on monday maybe tuesday
and after that i still dont eat/drink for 2 more days
i just cant help it i cant look at d food even water
