(Keep in mind, I don't know if this affects anything)

Around a month and ago, I took two hits of 25i- nbome. This was to be my FIRST time to ever trip. The first hour was great, and then, basically, shit hit the fan.
I had one of those "Hellish, thinking your dead, insanity trips", to the point where when I was in the ambulance I thought I was being driven to hell. I wont go in to - to much detail, but, the Nbome caused me literal physical pain while I was tripping. (Atleast, when what I'm about to explain happens to me, It for some reason reminds me of the trip, because I don't remember to much of it)

Around two weeks ago, I was with my friend, smoking weed, the normal. I decided to get as high as I could, and basically smoked a bowl and a half to two bowls before all the sudden my entire body starting getting hit with waves of pain. But the pain was the weirdest feeling. The only way I could explain it was if you think about pins and needle pain, now make the pins and needles REALLY big around. So it wasn't tons of tiny sharp pains, more like big... sharp pains. I don't know. But while this happened to me the only thing I could think of was NBOME. It was hard for me to breath, etc.

Yesterday this same thing happened to me again.

What in the hell is happening to me? Any ideas, thoughts... anything?

Sorry dude, but we can't really tell you what happened based on a description of some symptoms given in an Internet posting, much as I wish we could help you more. I doubt even a doctor could tell you what really happened, partially out of unfamiliarity with the NBOMes and partly because its just plain hard to figure out weird idiosyncratic reactions like this without physical indications of symptoms, and if such symptoms did exist at the time they are likely gone by now.

The first thing we would need if we can offer any advice, no matter how basic, is what the details of this bad trip were. There's no way to know if the second episode was related when you have given us somewhat specific symptoms for that second episode but not for the first incidence. Second, do you have any health problems, long term issues and the like? Third, what did the medical people say about the NBOMe wreck, did they say anything specific? I'm assuming you haven't seen a doctor for the second episode but if you have did they say anything?

Really, even with that information, I don't think we can really offer much in the way of advice other than definitely stay away from not only NBOMes specifically but all other psychedelics as well, and stay away from weed. If you don't want to stop smoking, then smoke with caution, but if any of the symptoms reoccur after smoking weed then you're pretty much obligated to stop entirely then, if you won't now.

I sincerely wish you the best of luck, maybe somebody else can offer something more than this. It is possible somebody will have better or more specific advice, or if you're really lucky they may have experienced a similar thing and can give first-hand practical advice, but I'm pretty much positive that nobody will venture so far as to say that there is or isn't a link between the two events, as that would be reckless speculation and nothing more. Here's to hoping these are one time occurrences.:\

I've definitely had smoking weed bring back symptoms of phenethylamine trips. Like it has brought back the panic surges from 2C-P, or the chest rush from 2C-E.

I will actually post a more detailed trip report later; but here is the gist of it.
This was my first trip, so I guess I wanted to go all out (Yes this sounds stupid, that was my mentality) so I heard heard this NBOMe shit was crazy so I bought two hits, my brother was with me to watch. So I take the first and come up quickly. I take the other. (First time full trip)
Its great like, AMAZING at first.
Then I decide to turn off the lights. I have always been sort of scared of the dark... I know this sounds bitchy but the idea of darkness creeps me out. Instantly the bad trip hits. I see my parents and brothers (not there) as zombies and I basically get stuck in a mental loop, saying "jake" (the brother with me)
Over and over again, for no reason. Every time he said yeah I said jake.
Then I sort of black out, next thing I know im up with the lights on walking around saying "universe shit"
Basically, ill put this is a way you can understand...
I thought My entire "existance" was to do EVERY single situation possible ans I hAd finally done the last one. Every meaning everything. As simple As leading my life normally but stepping one centimeter farther than my previous life. Shit like that. So blah blah blah, I start screaming thinking In going insane, but at the same time morphing into this 4-D object that I made up in my head, because I finally did the last situation. Skip to me runnin into my bros van. Im inside freaking out, I thought my heart exploded in the car, ( i could smell blood and see it).
Black out for awhile, next thing I know the police are there, they are yelling at me saying they'll tase me (didnt help at all) they tackle me to the ground and cuff me, and then cuff me to a stretcher in the ambulance. I cant stand not beinf able to move, so I start freaking out in handcuffs trying to get out.
I wake up the next day with a catheter and being told I was knocked out by Ketamine.
The only longterm issue I have is OCD.

Ah, and the reason why i believed the pains were from the Last trip was because of the heavy body load... (Im a small guy)
Are they random bloodshed? Do you still get them?

it's anxiety caused by your mind reacting negatively to the cannabis. some people don't deal well with substance use after having a close call/overdose - especially with cannabis, which is known to cause panc attacks and strange behaviour

it sounds to me like you just got pins and needles all over from ingesting a lot of THC quickly and having your blood pressure drop. it's harmless even though it may be disconcerting.

No I don't still get them and they aren't quite random. They happen with lessening intensity as time goes on after the trip.

laying off for a while may or may not fix this. it's basically a form of PTSD induced by drugs. since your mind and body suffered greatly the only time you ingested psychedelics, when your reptile brain interprets that youre losing control of your senses, it remembers what happened last time and decides it should get ready for serious shit, by inducing the fight-or-flight panic response & raising stress horomone levels.

the root cause of this is, you are doing drugs that loosen your hold on reality, and your subconcious mind is not ready for that. also the more "bad experiences" you have with the same drug in the same place, the more likely itis to happen again, due to how emotional attachments are made. you need to take it easy and know your limits. i mean, you say how you were smoking with the intent on getting as high as possible... weed does have negative effects at a certain level.

tl;dr more is not always better. drink your fill, smoke your joint, and then find something else to do.

I've seen something like this happen once before. The situation started out similar. A friend of mine, D, decided that he wanted to try mushrooms for the first time. We made a day of it, myself, D, L, and L's mother. L, L's mom, and myself were all experienced. D was a virgin to psychedelics, but an experienced marijuana smoker. We got an ounce. Myself, L, and L's mom each ate 1/4th of an ounce, 7 grams. D was supposed to have 2.5 grams.

The plan was to watch Pink Floyd's The Wall and Alice in Wonderland, then L's mom and myself were going to retire to the bedroom for a taste of the erotic while L and D would find something else to keep them entertained. Things did not go as planned. D decided that if we could take 7 grams, he could too. We had discussed it before and he agreed it was a bad idea, but when no one was paying attention he consumed the remainder of the mushrooms. Things went well at first, but then he started to get very unusual for the dose he took. He became almost catatonic for quite some time, and I was worried, but eventually he roused and assured us that everything was alright. After the films, L went off to stare at the visualizer on his computer's media player, and L's mom and I went off to get busy. About 20 minutes later, L came walking into the bedroom and said "S... I think you better come outside, D's gone sideways..." He was thankfully gooned and didn't notice that I was balls-deep in his mother, although I am not sure how he missed it, but that minor disaster that was averted was nothing in comparison to the one I was about to witness.

D was naked on the lawn, rolling around screaming that the trees were killing him. We were in the city, so it's a miracle that no one called the police. I convinced him to come inside and put his clothes on. I think mentioning the police caused him to come back to himself a little bit, because he became coherent again almost immediately. I convinced him to come on a long walk with me to my house to get some quetiapine. We got half way there (about 20 minutes away) when I realized I had left my keys back in my pants on the floor of L's mother's room. I had pulled on someone else's pants in all the confusion. We ended up walking back to L's house again, where I found out his mom had some 100mg seroquel tablets (d'oh!). I fed D one, and sent him to lie down, although I don't think he really needed it by this point. He was already almost back to himself completely by the time we got to the house.

Thankfully things did not get as bad as they did for the OP. He woke up and said that he was glad to be alive and had a whole new respect for psychedelics. After the fact though, he had exactly the same reaction when smoking marijuana the 3 times he tried to smoke after the trip. He complained of pain throughout his body, trouble breathing, feeling as though he were dying, and extreme panic. He ended up taking a 6 month break and coming back to psychedelics with a much more responsible attitude, although very soon after that he decided they were not for him. He fell into opiate addiction for a while, and then struggled with alcohol before giving everything up and becoming, to paraphrase Hunter S. Thompson, one of the many former drug abusers who espouse the notion that you can get a lot higher without pharmacological assistance than with it.

The point is, he went through a similarly, albeit less intense, negative psychedelic experience, came out the other side having a similar negative reaction to marijuana, and got over it. I think you should take the advice that has been given to you by others in this thread and consider taking a break from psychedelics and marijuana (if not all mind-altering substances period) for a while, or at the very least tone down your marijuana intake significantly and abstain from psychedelics for a period of at least a month, if not longer. You will probably feel a whole lot better, although there is a possibility that this reaction may linger for longer, or perhaps forever. Some people are just not cut out for psychedelics use, and it's possible that you may be one of those people, but from a single negative experience with one of the newest psychedelics there is out there, no-one could accurately claim to be able to make that distinction at this point. Just take a little while, abstain from consuming, and really think on the experience, absorb and integrate it. Try to draw something positive from it, even if there isn't anything apparently positive to it. You will probably feel a whole lot better.

I hope this is helpful to you!
