It’s hard, defining the thesis of my life-
It takes more energy embodying it
It’s sad, I must concentrate now on feasibility
Rather than want, because
I lost myself somewhere between the inadequacies of my existence
And finding the opportunity to assert my disappointment.

The few that understood have also petered out;
My self-confusion rendering my needs incomprehensible to them
Something within me says I can make it
But that is the shortest straw I can tug at, it’s the only one I can reach
Tempting
Alluring
Placing itself ahead of its camarades
Waiting for its perfect prey- me
My options seem incomplete- battered, bleeding and wounded
Soldiers returning home to me.

I drag myself to my knees
Finding strength to fight this fight
And as my tear soaked eyes continue their repertoire
I find myself wishing I might
Reach up to touch that light again
That never-ending source
That lets me sleep in bed and then
Wake up to let the day take course.

you have a way with words :) i liked this one because it seems to create a sense of achievement towards to the end of the day.

(but thats just me) ;)

Sometimes we forget,,, we only really need to understand ourselves to understand others, I love the wording with this .... cliche but true. :)

yeh true indeed. seems to be a recurring theme tho.. that cant be too good... meh.

long time no see chrissy, another heartfelt piece. This bit struck home for me:

Something within me says I can make it
But that is the shortest straw I can tug at, it’s the only one I can reach

Feeling that tiredness too!
