Starting today, I've had a hard time breathing a bit. Not so much that it's impossible or anything but, well, harder than normal. It's just harder to take in deep breaths. I probably shouldn't go out jogging or something right now, that's all. Or hold my breath for a long period of time. So anyway I am wondering if it is caused by smoking weed.

I mostly use MDMA and, very rarely, GHB. I've never smoked cigarettes. I've smoked weed a few times (maybe six or seven times in total, including the following events).

On NYE, I was on MDMA and some of my friends were smoking a joint so I tried a bit. Not much, a couple puffs.
New Years Day, my boyfriend and I had some G that evening and smoked. I thought it was quite a bit. It probably wasn't really that much though ... my bf says I am a lightweight with it.
The day after that, my bf and I smoked twice (once in early afternoon, once in early evening). Definitely felt it that time.

Would weed have any impact on this at all? I don't know much about it :P

happened to me when I started smoking I'd wake up after a big smoke out the night before and my lungs felt waay smaller, like I couldnt inhale as much air as before. If you plan on making a habit out of smoking weed Im sorry to say its only gonna get worse in the end thats why breaks and how you smoke the weed are important to worry about

You don't smoke cigarettes, and you've smoke weed about 8 times? Your lungs may wonder why they are suddenly getting pollution thrown down them, but apart from a few cilia getting irritated, there will be no lasting damage done. Lungs are designed to deal with quite a lot, and are great at filtering crap. You should be more worried about long term exposure to city born pollutants than the occasional spliff. Relax :)

^agreed, anything your feeling is just from the shock of you going from never smoking to smoking on daily basis for like 3 days. if i take a long T-break i'll wake up with shit in my lungs haha

As mentioned, you shouldn't have any problems from so few instances of smoking. And cannabis has not been linked to lung disease or failure anyway. Cigarettes though are bad news of course!

You SHOULD go jogging. Exercise will help minimize damage from smoking (not that it will prevent it). I've stopped smoking weed and cigs for the past 18 days and jogging has helped get rid of a bunch of the tar from my lungs. Nothing like hacking up a bit of tar after a good solid jog.

Thanks for the advice! It is already getting better. Still doesn't seem back to normal but better. Yeah, I know I probably shouldn't have done it three days in a row. Although I don't think the first day really counted :P hah!

I don't plan to make a habit out of it - I can't see me doing it more than say twice a month anymore.

Thanks!!!!!

this happens to me all the time, but its normal because I have athsma. The day after a joint, I am shorter of breath, and usually end up taking my albeuterol inhaler. I actually kind of like fact that I notice the effect of the smoke, because it makes me realize how bad it is for my lungs, and reminds me to use a vape next time. it sounds like you are just sensitive to smoke, i would recommend not smoking too often, and If it gets worse look into a vaporizer, and talk to your doctor about the possibility of you having athsma.

You ever consider the fact that maybe some Running and good moderate excersise is EXACTLY what your body needs including good nutrition?

Are you saying I'm unhealthy? I am unsure how you figured that out.

Of course exercise and good nutrition is what I need regularly. I didn't think that listing the foods I ate and exercise I did necessary, I'm a fairly healthy person, that's really what is important here. I just didn't go out jogging when my lungs couldn't handle it.

A bit of exercise helped out. Just did what I can handle. It's better now though! :D Just won't smoke so much so close together. You live and learn ... :)

I'm willing to bet you've just got some kind of chest cold. Lung infections can make it "hard to breathe" too, though.

I know I've got a chest cold when I can take a regular pull off a bong/pipe/joint/blunt but it hurts to try to immediately add some fresh air to the hit as I take whatever I'm smoking from my lips.

It's not the weed if you have only smoked a handful of times, and if you don't smoke cigs.

It sounds like you have a cold or congestion. I wouldn't run, I would take it easy and take decongestants. Eat well & rest, just like any other cold.

This doesn't seem like CD material and none of us a doctors. If you think you need more info or want the thread moved somewhere, PM me... Otherwise, this isn't CD material.
