Happy with your teeth?

Not happy at all with my teeth. They're chipped in some places and yellow and they've begun to hurt A LOT lately and the pain only gets worse and lasts for longer...I have periods where I forget to brush so what can I expect? Besides that, I think smoking H occasionally also makes it worse.

Yikes!!! My teeth are absolutely terrible! To make a long story short, took bullet fragments under my chin, went through both jawbones and up into my sinuses where I still have metal (real fun when travelling).

The result is that I am missing two teeth in my upper jaw, the right front and a small one next to it, and half a tooth after that. The army capped it and gave me a partial but told me to go for more work the following year. The following year turned into 4.5 more in the field and so...still have the acrylic partial which is a real pain when eating, and the cap came off that same year.

Everybody is always talking about the inexpensive medical care and dentistry here in SE Asia but that is usually commesnurate with the quality in some cases, dentistry being one in my experience. Went to a friend of mom's and I made her give me anesthetic for a tooth cleaning and even then she could not get anything done. Total waste of time.

I am thinking though, of getting the threaded inserts screwed into my jaw if the bones will even support it since I still have many tiny fissures in my jaw bones. I am thinking of getting stainless steel teeth, hahaha, was going to get white gold but who am I really trying to impress? The price in the US was 10 thousand US per tooth, for porcelain, cannot even imagine for gold.

Maybe I will like look ODB!

Hello friends,

Yes it is right, when our mouth e=was clean then we feel good otherwise u will feel mood less. If you want to happy with your teeth then take care of your teeth. Do the brush daily.

Dental Practice Sale

My mouth is straight fucked, from a childhood without dentists or encouragement to practice dental hygiene, combined with jail time later.

I'm getting a gold tooth soon to replace an upper front tooth that just shattered last month.

my teeth are extremely sensitive to cold or hot things liquid and not. what is this a sign of?

It is the sign of tooth sensitivity. There is nothing to worry about becoz it can be treated.

omg...at age 28 i will be having braces put on tomorrow.

i really like my smile- nothing is "wrong" with it, it's narrow, though. i think it's neat though.

but, i have a slight overbite, a crossbite in the back, and on my bottom row i need a tooth uprighted for a dental implant.

i am going to have braces on the top for 6-8 months. not too shabby. they'll be off before i start my career.

those bottom guys are gonna be there for about 18 months though. eep.

part of me was a bit excited, but now i have a lot of anxiety.

btw- total cost (my crappy restaurant insurance doesn't cover orthodontics) will be $3900.

awesome.

then add on the cost of that $2500 dental implant in two years.

I got braces last year at age 29. I still had two baby teeth on the top that were pulled, and because they didn't fall out when they were supposed too my canine came in behind the baby tooth causing a crossbite.

I only have mine on the top row. I was told I'd have them for 9-15 months, it's been 17 months now. :(

Mine cost $2500. Would have been $4000 if I got top and bottom.

Definitely get some dental wax and little brush picks. (your ortho might give you some)

Good luck. :)

wow.

i was not prepared for this amount of discomfort.

plus, i love the fact that when i brush after eating, it looks like a freaking buffet in the sink.

you know what tops it all off, though? isolating myself in the bathroom for 20 using my threader and floss.

woo hoo!

orthodontist hooked it up with wax, toothpaste, floss, threaders, more wax, and a sonic care electric toothbrush! woo hoo!

My mom had braces when she was like 45, I don't think it's a big deal to get braces at any point in life. Just means you want to have nice teeth.

my teeth are good , never needed braces or anything like that, thank god.

i always feels soo bad for people with really bad dental problems, because soo many people judge you on it.

If your home then brush after everytime you eat, even after drinking soft drinks and juices.

careful - brushing right after having something acidic like a soft drink can actually help to wear away your enamel

my teeth aren't perfectly straight, but i like 'em that way =)

i'm not very self-conscious about my teeth, but i will say this. keep up on cleanings, seriously. i hadn't been to the dentist in 8 years as i either had no insurance or lackluster coverage, and i certainly paid for it today. i had about 8 years of calcium build up removed from down below the gum lines. it wouldn't have happened had i kept up on cleanings, but i was told if i had waited a year or longer, my teeth may have started falling out. :\ THEN i'd be really self-conscious.
