For a very long time (at least 6+ years now) I have liked Happy Hardcore. I also enjoy what I would call EDM Events. To me these are fairly large (200+ people) events featuring a DJ or live electronic music performer. I am struggling to find anything even resembling a scene for this music out here in the Milwaukee/Chicago area, yet when I'm at events everyone says they like Happy Hardcore! I want to hear some hardcore and I'm not trying to fly to California again, is there any hope for me?

hell no...im thinking of might mean some straight edge neo nazi moshpit type shit???? or some electro???? but no we've only got euro////hardstyle///and trance djs here in the chi....

have you checked the events section of this board? the midwest region has its own sub-section in the forum and was pretty active at one point. if happy hardcore is allowed to exist anywhere in the states these days i'm sure it's in a backwards area like the midwest :D

somebody from new york has happy hardcore as one of their interests. I'll let you know if I find out who. So its in NYC atleast, so might be able to find it by you.

Sorry to say you've missed the boat a bit on that one. There used to be a pretty vibrant rave scene in Milwaukee ~10-15 years ago, but that's long gone due to law enforcement crackdowns. Even then, though, this was never a big area for happy hardcore. Quite the opposite in fact as Drop Bass Network, ATP, etc. pretty much ruled the scene here with hardcore and hard acid; jungle, house and techno rounded things out.

I stopped going to parties in the early naughts, so I may have missed it, but I never heard any happy hardcore at any of the many parties I went to during that time around here. Of course, I'm not a big fan, so it could be that I intentionally avoided it at some of the bigger multi-stage or multi-day events but who knows.

Anyways, sorry, that probably doesn't help you a whole lot now. Your best bet would probably be Canada.
