Ok, so after IVing some H my hand went numb/tingled. Similar to the sensation felt after sleeping on your arm, and also similar to the numbing you get after your hand is freezing cold from, say, wiping snow off your car. I decided to wait to see if it subsided before going to the hospital. It persisted for about 35 minutes, then began feeling better, gradually. It's been a bit over an hour now and it still doesn't feel 100%, though its very close, so I'm thinking it should be set soon. I'd go get it checked out but I risk getting kicked out of my house, as I'm currently staying with my parents after losing my job. Due to past drug addiction it's been made clear that if it happens again, wel... Yea, basically they can't find out. I don't want to suffer the consequences for a relapse (I've been using sporadically, here and there, but nothing like I once was). So, I was wondering if anyone knew what this could be/how serious it is? From what I found online, it seeks like its either nerve damage or I went into an artery. Seeing as I've gone in this vein numerous times, I'm thinking nerve, most likely. Anyone w/ suggestions/similar situations? Thanks in advance

Was there any pain? Without any pain/swelling I can't imagine you hit an artery but then again hitting a nerve is supposed to be rather painful as well... Where was the injection site and are you sure you didn't miss the shot?

It did register, but I think it may have slipped out, as it started to feel like a missed shot/burned a little... But most of the shot felt fine/was easy to push down. As soon as I was done, I rushed to get the belt off, b/c the sensation was as if I had the belt on too tight for too long... But then the sensation persisted. Its still with me ever so slightly. It was in a vein I use often that kind of runs on the side/back of the arm before curving away from the elbow. I went a bit closer to the hand than usual. I don't of was an artery, as I ran out of 1/2" and used a 5/16 which I'm shocked even worked considering the state of my veins... Thinking maybe it slipped out and whatever did miss hit a nerve?
