Hallucinogenic properties of coffee/speed

First of all let me say that I know neither of these drugs are classified as hallucinogens, but, as chemicals which alter consciousness, they can have subtle hallucinogenic properties.

I've noticed that low doses of caffeine have a nearly antipsychedelic feel, on top of its stimulating effects. The effect is so subtle that I wonder if I'm not being oversensitive.

Amphetamine on the other hand has a subtle dissociative feel on top of a very light (but more pronounced) psychedelic one.

Am I just rambling on about the obvious subtle side-effects (outside of classification) that come with all drugs or am I oversensitive?

Agree/ disagree?

I'm not confident of this speculation because I almost always have a bit of something else in my system when I take either of these and it definitely seems a bit odd.

if your up for a week ya your goin to see shit. But i have smoked weed and meth all night and drank coffee and i have never seen stuff. Just felt out of it, probably all the weed. Maybe your over sensitive. Who knows.

I've never had hallucinations from speed or coffee alone, but I have had them from weed. This is why I say it's a very light, even subtle effect.

Whereas actual psychedelics (from my very limited experience) will generally make it feel like everything is being rearranged and changed into the 'right' way, amphetamine is more about things being right the way they already are. Seems a little paradoxical, but there's a certain subtle extension (not amplification) to reality and emotions a la serotonin.

As for the subtle dissociation, I consider it to be a normal side-effect of any drug which is strong enough.

True, though, I've always been significantly more sensitive to most drugs than other people I've been with.

Man, I make some stupid threads...

Ya over sensitive. Never get that way wit weed. I do get a slight dissociation when i smoke lots of bud on top of upper. Which gets stronger the longer i stay up. Then i just feel like my brains mush lol

What I'm still wondering is whether I'm really more sensitive or just a little crazy. Used to be the former... yeah definitely. definitely. But with all these drugs I feel like there's a bit of random noise clogging the perceptual binoculars and I definitely need to get the other drugs out of my system before making conclusions.
