hallucinations after oxycodone?

I just got throat surgery, and
Got prescribed 120 of 30mg oxycodone 325mg APAP (percocet brand). Iv abused hydrocodone (norco brand) at pretty high doses with little tolerance such as 60-90mg at one time
And never had hallucinations. Only a euphoric nod, and very heavry sedation. Anyway iv also abused
Oxys before but they were old and
Only 5mgs and I only got to 40mg max.
Still no hallucinations. But yesterday I just got done at the hospital and got the new pills of 30mg. I'm in very bad pain and I took 1 crushed up pill in a shot glass with warm water and
1 more about a hour later and iv been
Hallucinating and seeing stuff. And can't pee very well. I'm not on any other drug or medication. Is this normal till I develop a tolerance? I took 1 benadryl with it to reduce the itch. If that helps.
Any feed back? Kinda important because I have to take my wife that is disabled to the airport Monday and can't be hallucinating. And I tried taking 1 without crushing normally and

It's normal to hallucinate. I've had several hallucinations from heroin. I've had friends hallucinate madly after surgery. You will be fine in a couple hours.
If your wife gets in very late and you can't take the pain, you should by Monday know how you metabolize oxy and how big a window you need to be straight again. But I must suggest that you don't take any oxy until after you get home from the airport Monday. You can get a DUI or worse be in an accident. She can always Uber if it is too complicated with the timing.
Opiates make it hard to pee and poo.

Thanks blue, yea I was under amnesia,
And some other meds aslwell. I find it hard to sleep on opioids. Is that also normal in higher doses?

yes totally normal (the sleep thing). i find oxy to be stimulating and cant sleep on it hence why i always have some restoril/ klonopin around. maybe lower the dosage?

Totally normal to have "dreamy" hallucinations during a nod. Although I personally would compare them more to deleriant hallucinations than dream hallucinations. This is what's known as a "pipe dream" back from the days of opium.

Be careful with higher doses. I as a rule don't inject enough to make me pass out immediately out of fear I will never wake up. But I do combine it with xanax, all the more reason to use low doses. I think what keeps me up at night is a racing mind. I take lithium which calms it a little but I just worry worry worry. The only thing to overcome that is facing my worries and addressing the things that matter like calling out people who take advantage of me. It is easy to find yourself taken advantage of even from "friends" whey your mind is addled.
