It was most likely the pill was cut with something. Was your enviroment dark? Most hallucations appear in dark places in my case. I seen colors when I close my eyes on high doses of mdma. Never when their open though.

A lot of people have strong visual effects when on MDMA- there was a thread that got super long about a month ago of people saying they've seen all sorts of wild things that sound very "psychadellic" and similar to an LSD experience....
But.....I have found that (and theres info on erowid about it) that MDB and MDBD are both far more psychadellic and less "lovey" that MDMA. When a pill tests for "MDxx" these chemicals are possibly the main ingredient- similar, some people don't always experience a major difference. My depth perception goes out the window, I see patterns on paternless objects...I even thought there was a large man standing next to my boyfriend and it was just a dark area...when it gets that intense, I suspect theres more at play than MDMA.

Yeah, the other week I dropped 1.5 clean mdma pills, and all of the sudden i turned off the lights and sat down at my computer and in the corner of my eye i saw purple on me, so i looked and it moved to the other corner of my eye, and i kept switching view and there was purple all over me, it even got to the point where I could directly look at the bright purple tint on my clothes/skin. And yes, I looked everywhere in my room for anything projecting a purple light and there was nothing. I was on bluelight also so there was no purple coming off of the screen.

That's what I was thinking.
I personally have not ever hallucinated off of mdma on its own, but I have experienced visuals from mda. Generally the visuals are very subtle like tracers and color distortions.
But as mazza mentioned, you should certainly check out the directory for similar stories and experiences.

^^ hmm, my last trip on an MDA pill was highly disassociative. But then again, I have a feeling there was some Ket laced in there too (didn't test myself; relied on a good friend).
Even MDA on it's own though can be seriously trippy depending on setting. I find some weed on the way up really brings out the visuals too.
