A JOBLESS hairdresser who claimed he was a mystic healer, fed a blind biker gherkins laced with the drug LSD, a German court has heard.

Patrick Baecker, 35, told Axel Pfeffer he could cure his blindness in return for £20,000.

The court in Fehmarn, Germany, heard how the former motorcyclist had tried everything to restore his sight after losing it in a crash.

The court heard how Baecker fed him pickles laced with powerful hallucinogenic drugs to induce visions.

‘You are a hairdresser, not a shaman,’ Judge Markus Faerber told Baecker in court.

A BOGUS witch doctor was jailed for fraud in Germany after claiming to be able to cure a desperate blind man with LSD-laced gherkins.

Unemployed hairdresser Patrick Baecker, 35, posed as a mystic healer who could make victim Axel Pfeffer see again for £20,000 ($30,000), The Sun reported.

A court in Fehmarn, Germany, heard Mr Pfeffer, a former motorcyclist, had tried everything to restore his sight after losing it in a crash.

But what the crooked crimper Baecker did was feed him mini gherkins laced with powerful mind-bending hallucinogenic drugs to induce visions.

Prosecutors told the hairdresser: "Recklessly and treacherously, you used the disabled man's trust to pay off a debt."

Judge Markus Faerber told him before jailing him for eight months: "You are a hairdresser, not a shaman."
 
Being a hairdresser grants him a good place in prison. They're always in need for hairdressers or dentists or dealers, in prison.
 
maybe he really thought he was a shaman? it's reasonable to assume one would finally see things (if one hasnt been blind for life, it's almost a sure thing)

and its sad the dude got taken advantage of.

i woulda just said,
"listen, i know your blind and all, that sucks, but how about we go trippin?"
 
depending on the degree of blindness, there would be no distinction between CEV's and OEV's i think. i'm not blind so i can only speculate
