Has anyone considered that as H currently is, most people don't REALLY have access to it?

What I mean by this, is that most people don't have the balls/nerve/loose marbles/insert whatever you want here/ to drive into the nastiest section of the Ghetto to pick up a bundle of diesel.

You can't compare H with most other drugs (weed, coke, X, etc), because most other drugs can be bought from local dealers, from people who you or your friends know. Getting ahold of H usually involves buying your shit from street dealers and the VAST MAJORITY of the population of this country would have the shiznit scared out of them if they even had to think about doing this.

If H were put into Pharmacies and Liquor stores, possibly there wouldn't be that barrier which stops a lot of people from using it, and as a result its use would increase.

^- I hate to break it to you, but I can think of more then a few houses in the suburbs that deal with boy. Not the 10-cap, 20-cap shit on the streets either, people holding on too weight. So, I'd just like to say again heroin isn't a drug restricted to "the dirty ghetto"

Since this was bumped 8( , i will comment that i do think *some* people can use it responsibly. i probably already wrote that. i think my title is a little extreme too. yea, it was a little emotional when i wrote this.

I am happy, i think i am the one that persuaded those girls to quit!!! 17 year olds shouldnt be touching that stuff!

UPDATE ON THOSE 2 GIRLS

I don't want to say, "told you so," or any shit like that. Those little disputes are all in the past and i dont give a fuck about the posts in this old thread.

Here is the honest fucking truth:

The 1 girl is addicted to heroin and has a waste of a life boyfriend. She is the one i liked most, that sexy look, that innocent but hot spark in her eye. I am just telling facts, not wanting to be dramatic. I havent talked to her in months cause I hate her 120 pound boyfriend and if i ever saw him i would beat the shit out of him (for many reasons. stealing, etc that is confirmed). I also don't want anything to do with her cause she just wants money. Emailed me on the computer asking if she could borrow some about a month ago. I didn't reply.

The other girl. Well here is where it isn't too clear. According to her sister, she had an overdose on 7 bags of heroin, both snorted and shot. They found various other drugs too. She quit breathing a while and went to a hospital where she was saved. She has brain damage and her sister said she is like a confused 12 year old. I was fucking shocked when i heard this just 2 weeks ago. I hadn't known she was even doing the stuff anymore, i saw her a month ago and she was fine, told me she quit doing it occasionally but she thought it was still the best drug. She said she quit cause of the other girls addiction.

it a weekend thing, set limits and be very strict with yourself. I think everyone knows, h is a dangerous fucking game. Be careful, use common sense. If u do it make it a weekend thing and set limits. Be strict with yourself. And holy fuck, don't OD and stay away from everyday use.

are u clairvoyant? you seem to know alot of things without any actual proof....maybe you should appear on montel or something, and share your gift with the world. I have never met a dealer who approaches non-users and attempts to get them to use. This would be one of the quickest ways to get locked up. if anyone was pressuring them to use it would most likely be their friends who are users. How can you blame the drug? It's not heroine's fault that it is so seductive and pleasureable. maybe you should join up with the DEA. Yes, a psychic DEA master detective who kills drug dealers. That sounds like the way to go to me.

Dont underestimate the pleasure of a honest and true dope habbit. I say honest and tue becausse heroin is not like weed or psychedelics that alter your life, herion lets you escape your life. But it does take back. And it takes back with interest. It is just like borrowing money with an interest rate. The more money you borrow, the higher the interest rate and the more money you owe back. Proportionatly the more junk you put in your arm, the less happiness you will have when the junk leaves your system. But to start junk you probably already realize or are on the verge of realizing that life sucks and is in fact boring. Junk will prove this to you and thats why I use the words honest and true. Junk doesn't alter your life, it is your life. A true junky knows exactly how they're gonna feel from one moment to the next by how much junk/money they have. And they know that without junk their life is shit. A dopehead can measure his life out in cc's of heroin solution in a syringe. As long as you realizejust exactly what your in for when you pick up junk, then i say shoot up. Pass me the spike.

Getting addicted to heroin doesn't happy over night, if you get addicted its 100% the persons fault. The fact that she didn't have any type of harm reduction knowlege can be blamed on prohibition as well as the lack of quality control. If heroin was legal, she would probally be alive.

There definately should be harm reduction knowledge. This country (usa) just says "NO DRUGS" and if you do them, you don't deserve safety (or something like this).

i think quality is just a risk you herion fancyers will have to take. It isnt a good enough reason to legalize it. just be careful. i guess those blue stamp bags are usually pure (at least i hear they are around here).

Just be fucking careful and set goals like i said up there.

And my apologies again for the title of this thread. i have learned to tolerate the drug and some users and some people can use it responsibly.(although i wont touch the stuff)

the thread amply demonstrates that not everybody shares your view that "Legalizing heroin is absurd". indeed, most people have tried to show you with unemotional, rational arguments, that it's not absurd.

alcohol is is available legally. to use your words alcohol also "feels so good". why not do it all the time since it is cheap and legal?

again, i propose that your arguments are simply not thought through and are , still, clouded by emotion.

Legality doesn't necessarily mean it's preventing people from doing something - legal penalties may stop some people from fraud or theft or murder, but that's not all that's keeping your average citizen from offing his neighbors with a hatchet and running off with their stereo.

Alcohol is widely used because it's a socially acceptable drug. It's for sale at clubs and sporting events. No one thinks badly of a bunch of adults getting drunk in a private residence as long as they're not loud and wrap things up before it gets too late.

And some people have problems with alcohol. They'll get addicted or do stupid things while drunk, like driving or fucking gross people.

Drug use is viewed as a menace to youth, and when used by adults it's because they're desperate, depressed emotionally unstable people who want to escape reality. Or they're lazy and immature. I hate to bust out with the Sociology textbook terms, but drug use (aside from "experimentation" in college) violates a hell of a lot of social norms. It's viewed as destructive and irresponsible and something that probably supports organized crime.

Just because it's legal or you relax laws concerning a drug so people with problems can get the help they need doesn't mean everyone will rush out and get their hands on some smack.

If you approve gay marriage, will everyone rush out to get a same-sex marriage just because they can?

If you take suicide laws off the books (they exist!) will that lead to some kind of mass depopulation because all that was holding people back was the fact that suicide is a crime?

I agree that you will see some destructive fallout from free-market drug availability in a country like America. We've got a lot of angry working class folks of all colors who have nothing else to do on the weekends, a lot of disaffected middle class folks who feel trapped or dissatisfied, and a bunch of rich people who could afford to drive around their private wilderness in platinum-encrusted H2s firing tranquilizer darts full of Fentanyl at each other inbetween snorting rails of coke off a supermodel's ass.

But sending some guy to prison because he shoots dope doesn't make much sense either.
