Guns and drugs don't mix

The way it is over there in Africa makes me wonder about the genetics of the African people as a whole and why they can't build successful civilizations.

Well, maybe I am in a way then according to you? Egyptians were arabic. You know what I'm talking about. Tribal Africa. "Blacks".

African Americans are 7x more likely to commit murders and despite being 12% of population they make up well over 50% of prison pop. I won't come out and say I've made direct conclusions from this. I've had black friends. I've even gone {edit. this is too personal and could be used to identify me} to a 3rd world black country to help them medically. What a shithole, and they were very racist towards whites.

I guess my experiences and statistics have shaped how I really feel about them in general, which I won't go into.

Am I sure? Nope. But certainly wouldn't be a bigoted one and still accept there are many good A.Americans.

Nah, there were no Arabs back then. The word "Arab" and the language came into existence in the 8th century BCE, by which point Ancient Egyptian civilisation was in decline.
 
Either way, that's surely not my main point. Look at them today. They've sure gone backwards from egypt.
 
No offense to the OP, really sucks what he went through.

But guns and drugs can mix, and I do mix them sometimes, cause guns are a part of my life.

Its just that people stupid/young or too fucked up can't mix with guns.

Guns aren't "evil". Some people are.
 
Someone please close the thread after I remind everyone of the thread's subject, which should also be the last word in the debate about whether its a good idea to use drugs and guns together.....

First of all: Horrible tragedy and weird friend. But a lucky outcome considering the potential disaster in the whole settup.

Second of all: A lot of you are arguing that guns should be respected and that you own guns etc. In most of the world people don't own guns and feel no need to own them. In Scandinavia most people that have guns own only a huntingrifle which they use for... hunting.

The constitution ensures that all of you can bear arms, but basically the constitution is a fossil. I don't get why americans are so scared to discuss that. It is as if the fact that the country was founded on that constitution, any change to it is a crime. I don't get that. I mean, times changes. I don't believe that bringing down the number of privately owned guns would be a disaster. It would take decades, of course, but it would probably lead to less tragedies. It is not vital to own one and it increases the risklevel in ones home.

you're very racist and moreover a gun obsessive

so in my narrow mind you fall into the category of yanky gun toting hillbilly, but in reality that probably doesn't fit.

people from deprived backgrounds become a part of their environment and the american judicial system loves to incarcerate young black men as it makes money out of them in this modern form of slavery. just as many white people commit murders etc. but they dont get caught as often.

the reality is crime is often seen as the only viable option for people in a situations with poor career prospects and no long term future hopes or dreams. wether they are white/brown/yellow or purple.

you are as much a product of a situation as you are your genes

Guns and idiots don't mix. I am very sorry about your dog and sympathize with how traumatic that must have been. Your friend shouldnt have had the gun in the first place, it's a fundamental rule when handling guns that you should never point it at anything you don't plan on killing. Guns and hallucinogens, recipe for bad things happening. People are stupid, and mushrooms don't usually better the decision making process.
 
I'd like to point out, that genetic differences are greater within races (human races themselves are not well defined, depending on view, number is from few to few dozen so...) than between them, so that is not much of and explanation. Cultural and social circumstances play much greater role in fine tuning human behaviour than genes actually - "cell memory" telling us to do complex things like raping while on crack or how to solve rubik's cube in 3 minutes simply does not exist.

in my opinion, the lesson should include
"although my friend pulled the trigger, i was the retard who put a gun in his hands"

it's done. can't change it, but swallow it once and for all


if it was not sad, it would be funny to have all those people who are shocked when people get killed whereas they have guns themselves
 
This thread is old and contains all appropriate responses to the OP, all inappropriate ones and even a good number of extra ones. I'm also afraid I provided this thread with a bullshit reply instead of actually contributing to it.

Please if you have anything to say on the subject drugs & guns, in particular anecdotes that you wish to share, create a new thread. Whether the OP was a troll or not, I am not interested in people raising their internet voices over that. There is a lot disturbing about that story and enough people have said that.
