Hey,
No one realizes how sick Ybor is going to be getting later this month. October 25 is guavaween. The Central YBOR Strip is going to be crazed with people fucked up beyone recognition... It's a good time.
Ybor is a good time even when it's not guavaween. "PRANA" is THE place to be on Thursday nights... It's ladies night, they drink for free, it's always packed with gorgeous women. WHat more can a guy want?? But even better, guys get really good drink specials too.
But on Saturday nights "TWILIGHT" is rediculous. That is a classy ass club. Good Music, and on saturdays they have really good drink specials also!
Gasparillo is going to be a sick ass time to be in YBOR too. Similar to a Mardigras, people get CRAZY. Tampa is the place to be. Good times, and you're lucky if you have any memories...

it is $20 to park and $10 to gain access to 7th avenue. the girls of tampa are nothing like the girls in NOLA.
 
Well if you could get into VIP dick head you would realize what classy is... And actually the company i work for - Midnight Prod. runs buses from USF to YBOR: they have a 10:30 bus 11:30 bus 12:00 bus and they go back at 2 and 3. Which means no parking. And where did you come up with the idea that you must pay to get onto 7th??? Cover to the club is regularly $10, and usually one of my boys is out there giving out $3 off tickets.

Not my fault you can;t get VIP bracelet dj wave ...

the one time i went to guavoween i got punched by some drunk asshole. right in front of a cop. not to mention that there are multiple rapings every year during the festival. fuck guavoween. go see hallucinations grumpy at snatch instead

im going to louisiana for halloween then to tampa is anything goin on from the 3rd thru 12 of november or close to those days?
 
I just moved to Tampa and this will be my first time going to guavaween. I've heard good and bad things about it but I guess I will go so I can form my own opinion.

Do people just party in the street or do they actually go into the clubs?

I've only been to Ybor once so far and it's okay are there any other good area's to go. I will have people visiting me for the next couple of weekends and I want to take them to some good places but I haven't been here long enough to know what is good yet =D

Guavaween is something to experience - I haven't been in over ten years, but it is cool. Last time I went I had a gun pulled on me, but I didn't get shot, or robbed (or raped) so it was all good in the end. Ybor is a much better place now than it was 10 years ago.

In the streets - packed usuallyl. The clubs provide the drinks, if you get thirsty; and they have the music - but the streets are also flooded with people milling about. Have a great time, but do be careful.
 
party in the streets and club..we will be doing both, we already have a table and everything...this is going to be my first time so i'm kind of excited %)
 
Hey Goddess, hope to see you there! I'll probably be at either Twilight or the Amp, unless there's somebody really great somewhere else. Haven't really heard any kind of lineup yet for anyplace. BTW, there's an erotic exotic ball at Skye (formerly 1509) that Monday night (the 27th)
 
So who went to this? BT played the 93.3 stage, a 30 minute set, what a tease, but I got a pic with him so that was really cool. Got to meet my idol and all-time favorite musician, so Guavaween was ok by me. I dunno what everyone was talking about there being fights and people getting jacked, I saw everyone smiling and having a good time and a bunch of little kids running around. The crowds weren't even that bad and we only paid $8 to park. So why does everybody hate on Guavaween?
 
They were a bunch of fights out the this year. I take it that you didn't get a nice lung full of pepper spray or you'd know about the fights. I actually saw a beer bottle get broken over someones head for the first time ever. Otherewise guavaween was pretty cool, seems like it was less crowded then last year.
