Guaifenesin + Ephedrine hcl solubility... Is there any chance?

So after hours of searching.. Nothing can be found that will extract one from the other. Unless I've missed something I don't think there is a solution that one is soluble in while the other is not. I Thought I was one to something with petroleum ether but Turned out to be a let down. If one is known that info would be much appreciated, not by just me but by the many others that have asked the same question.
