Yes by the time I make this thread it will be about 4hours 47minutes and 20seconds until the trailer, can't wait. www.gta4.com

This thread is for the purpose of everyone who is anticipating the release to discuss, perhaps the title should just have been gta4..

The graphics remind me so much of Oblivion on the 360. Simply amazing!
 
Damn I went out for an unexpected drink up and just came home. The trailer is really a teaser, all I gather is New York and guy coming to the new world for a better life despite the fact he's middle eastern. But like I wonder if it's all one city or if there will be more than one city?

This is balls, I want my waiting time back, give me a better trailer! I reckon either its an exact replica and almost full size new york or else there will be more cities. This might seem sexist but I'm glad the main character isn't a woman, perhaps it's not even the middle eastern guy?

Rockstar have been sly in the past, can't wait for more info to come out..press confrence!!!

And yes Axl, the title tickels two of my titties :D
 
Ok, upon close inspection I see that it is liberty city. At the ferry terminal part I think one of the ferries has Liberty City written on it, I can see Liberty..Also the church is the same as that in GTA3. I'm thinking that Liberty City has been expanded and you can maybe go to an expanded Vice city and all the other cities from the previous games OR Liberty City is the American City and there are other cities overseas which you can go to ie. some in Europe.

Damn I feel like a kid at christmas, I need to get a job again so I can buy a PS3 when this comes out, or actually I'm going back to school so I'll use my Education Maintainance Allowance!


EDIT: Just looked at it again, and it just says Liberty Ferry. There's definatley the empire state building and some other New York landmarks so it's probably new york as one of the cities.
 
Sorry for another post but now I'm thinking it's Liberty City again because I paused at a frame and theres a sign that says Liberty Tree which is of course the newspaper in Liberty City, it's on the left below Top Hooker, maybe a refrence to a pretty woman Parody?

EDIT: It would be rude to post another reply but I'm thinking the Guy might be Russian or Eastern European and at one point in the game you come to USA. So many possibilities, who knows what they're up to, I just think they are trying to suprise us or mislead us somehow at rockstar.
 
Liberty city. wow.

I hope it is a middle eastern gang. and i have hopes for an irish gang. oh boy cant wait.
 
Ok sorry yet again but Liberty City is definatley involved if you look at this screenshot I took it says Liberty City Platypus on the boat.

Although a ship could be in any port in the world, but most likely on the US east coast.
 
9MM Are you Irish btw? If so me too :D I really think this is just a little taste of what they have in store but even if it is just one city it's going to be huge. I'm not too worried about size, more concerned about depth and variety. Mostly about AI.

A long way to wait but hopefully worth it.

I am of Irish decent. But I am Canadian.

I want to get Irish citizenship though. My name is Patrick, so they should just give it to me right?
 
Yeah of course if you're name's Patrick or Seamus you're as good as in..I'm actually from Northern Ireland but I got my Irish citizenship last year for the craic of it, now I'm British and Irish :D

gta-universe all the cities have different names.

the dude looks and sounds turkish to me. i'm really, REALLY digging where they're going with this...

the added sun movement is cum inducing to say the least. i can't believe how good this looks.
 
It does look spankin' but I hope I don't need an HD TV for it to look decent. Yeah I know they are just the cities given the different names but I was just thinking that London was real London. I'm thinking if they are keeping it on a localised east coast setting then perhaps Carcer city may be involved also, and I think that in the trailer the statue of liberty is holding a sandwhich of some sort instead of a torch lol
 
I'm not too disappointed that they're doing liberty city but it would have been nice if they did a city besides the previous ones. I haven't seen the trailer so maybe they are doing other cities. I'm guessing the turkish guy is supposed to be the main character?
 
I like how they masturbate the graphix on the trailer. Bastards!

I wonder what the "RAGE" engine will do for gore and violence and such. Oh maaann.... THIS GAME ALONE will take the money out of my pocket for a PS3.
