growing shrooms

Anyone out there grow their own shrooms? i have read directions on the internet and it didn't seem too difficult. any thoughts?

Go for it dood. Hit up shroomery.org for some experts in that stuff. It isn't hard at all. My brother grew about 2 ounces of them on his first try in about 8 weeks I believe. Maybe a little less, it's been about 5 years since then so my memory is fuzzy. But they were definately the psychedelic kind!

A word of advice - don't be tempted into buying one of those "all in one" kits that come with the substrate already innoculated.
I did - and regretted it.

I think I'm the only one that finds it more difficult than everyone makes it out to be. It's definitely worth it (and a really fun project), don't get me wrong, but it's the kind of thing where you'll probably make a few mistakes along the way and those mistakes send you back to the starting point.
Also, if you have future plans for going out of town, you need to time things so that you aren't in the terrarium stage at that time, unless you have a friend that you can trust to maintain it on a daily basis while you're gone.

someone told me the kits worked. I forget the website that has them , but they also sell cacti that takes years before you can use.

Yeah I grew shrooms. They are not hard at all to grow. Just make sure you don't buy anything except Psilocybe Cubensis for you first time or you'll probably run into a lot of problems.
And you should go read many sets of instructions before growing so you get a good idea of how to do it from different viewpoints.

Yeah my friend grew shrooms with a kit ordered off of the internet. It is mad easy and definitely worth it. I had no idea shrooms could be that powerful. They rocked my fucking world. I could barely talk and when I did it was to utter my disgust for things like "time" and "gravity". Definitely funny. Go for it.

Where can you get the spores to grow them though? Isn't it illegal to order one of those kits or are spores legal?
Anyways I doubt that I'll be buying one of those kits cause I don't have a credit card so where else could I get spores?

you can find more spores underneath other mushrooms.

go to the shroomery, find a guy named ralphster, he runs this free spore ring, send him $1 per print and he'll ship to Calif. and don't buy a kit, people at the shroomery(me included) will help you out at anything.

As for spores , just order them for "collection purpose only" if you flat out say your growing with them they are "illegal"
After your first batch you got all the spores you need ... JUST FOLLOW THE GUIDE TO THE TEE
don't skip steps and don';t be lazy ... love them like they are your baby.
What would be a good spore to begin with ???
