ok so im wondering how to grow these three little guys. ive found some info online but nothing consistent. from what i gather, the cacti are pretty simple to grow even though they take forever which is cool cuz i lie pets. the salvia is another story. it seems it takes a bit more care and i have never grown an indoor plant before. id like to start with these three though.

i'll be starting the cacti from seed and salvia from a cutting.
so, what materials do i need (soils, pots, conditions, watering habits and maintenance etc.)? if you could drop some links or personal experience it would be much appreciated. thanks.

I believe iamshaman.com has some good information on growing some of those, also they offer the products for sale.

No links to vendors...

You should be fine with the cacti, they're really hands off, but you can pick up some cactus soil from any garden centre. I water my peyote & pedro once a week - although I didn't water them at all over winter. They're sitting in a sunny spot by the window ATM, but will be moving outside for summer soon.

Can't really help with the salvia, I'm sure someone else can. :)

I don't know man...watching a plant grow for a few months is one thing, but waiting 20 years to harvest is a little extreme. If you grow peyote, you should get like 30 plants and stagger them over time, so you at least don't have to wait as long, except for the first few years.

^ the cacti come in seed packs of 100 so I'll be set. I'll probably stagger half of them to harvest early. But I'm in it for the long haul too to build that bond. The cacti do seem pretty simple to grow but I'm not finding much on the salvia.
