Growing medical marijuana for profit

Thanks for the perspectives guys. Some people think it's doable, others think I'll fail. Seems like it could go either way.

@JBlazin - I think I would be better off doing this solo. It's going to be a small grow, so why would I need someone else? I'm not sure what you mean by "good intentions". Could you explain this further? And what's wrong with coming into a public forum to ask experienced people about this? Because I am naive? I just wanted some opinions from people that have done this before. There's no harm in gathering as much intel as you can before making a decision. There is a wealth of information to be gained from experience. Since I don't have much experience, I asked the experienced.

I am sorry if I broke the forum rules. I don't intend to do anything illegal. And I definitely don't intend to do this on a large scale until much further down the road, legally of course.

I am not trying to get rich by doing this, I just want to supplement my income.

Yeah, I will report my grow site to the state authorities as is required, but, it doesn't say I must report it to my landlord. It's risky not telling them, as in they could kick me out if they find out. Maybe if I keep some bribe money handy....

Dude in washington state you do not need to register you grow site or any thing like that. Also In washington you CANNOT grow for profit, any sales made are strictly done on a donation basis to recoup funds put into the production of the cannabis. As far as starting a dispensary, its possible and there are many around the seattle are from what I know but its much hard work and risky business to get one up and running.

Also unless you have a big tent or a couple tents running perpetual harvest then the amount of money you actually make will not be a ton after rent, utilities, equiptment and other costs. good luck though, I'm not saying it cannot be done but keep doing research.

this is bad language, and the wrong intentions

idk if i should say that, your thread-title would shut down your grow, to say the least...
if some one were to say to you while making a donation, all bets are off from that point on.

A very blurry, thin line indeed. Some people are making a very good living from growing. I intend to get in on the action. It may be hard, but I'm far from lazy. And I know how to grow.

If you plan to come out to colorado, expect the price to be dirt cheap. As a grower you will be very un-happy at the wholesale price, compared to your home town. No matter how good of product you have, the price has to be right out here or you will sink. Trust me.

Grows for personal use are allowed, that's not vague. Intent to sell or "to make a profit" is pretty darn obvious in this thread.

Yes.

There is not a thin line, there is a line. Cultivation for sale is not permitted at BL as that is still skirting the law, or walking sideways alongside it via lying. We aren't here to help you with this kind of thing.

Further, if you are looking for growing advice, the [mega] grow thread is the place to look and ask.
