I posted this in the grow thread but it seems to be a ghost town so I'm reposting it here. Hope you don't mind.
"Hey guys, long time no see. Question about voltage.
First off, I know NOTHING of wire size, surge, electricity... so when answering me, please respond as if you're talking to a 3 year old, mentally retarded child
Anyway, I'm about to set up my grow room - I rent a cottage, I guess we have standard electricity, there is a surge box outside. My question is, how do I know how much I can plug into 1 outlet? I'm going to run 1 600w Metal Halide and 2 400w High Pressure Sodiums, coupled with the Ballasts, oscillating fans, and a huge Odor Control System. Some kind of big tube with charcoal in it attached to a fan with metal tubes coming out of it. I'm guessing I can't plug all these into the same circuit. Could you please help me not burn down my house, thanks so much.
