Ground up Peyote Dose

Hey everyone, new guy here. Looked around for a bit a bit,and I could not find any answers so I came here. I was wondering, if a peyote button is ground up, does it lose its potency at all? Is the weight similar, in regards to dosing?

If you ground the peyote button it will not loose the potency. And of course the weight requiring for psychoactive effects is the the same as for whole buttons.
If you take it in the capsules, it might take a little more time for effects to kick in.

Also, IME peyote buttons are very inconsistent in potency, and most of the home-grown ones barely have any Mescaline in them at all.

I would ask you to not buy Peyote on the market if coming from the wild. The play is endangered by now as too many people pick it for various reasons. Try to go with San Pedro or Peruvian torch - they grow much faster, are safe, and not endangered.
