Misc Grey specks in GHB

There is some GHB that has been in the fridge for a couple weeks (made a couple weeks ago). Just checked it out today and there are these grey specks in it (mostly at the bottom). I'm not sure if this is mold? Is this GHB "safe" (meaning are the grey speck things safe)? Anyone know anything about this? If you need more info just ask ... I don't know much about it ... just want to know if it is safe or not.

It has been kept in the fridge for a couple of weeks. Perhaps it should be stored in the freezer or something?
Still not 100% sure if it is mold, would like some insight on this, if anyone has experienced it before.

It sounds like the grey specks are NaGHB precipitate forming, if you mean at the bottom of your liquid GHB. If it's wax/powder form then it might be condensation spots forming wet pock marks with a little bit of liquid GHB looking grey compared to the white solid NaGHB.

^ That's what it sounds like to me as well. I can't see any reason why mold would be forming in GHB stored properly in a refrigerator.

I, being the overly cautious person that I am, would probably micron filter it just in case.

I had no idea you could or even would want to micron filter ghb. Interesting.

ive seen this twice before. it usually happens when someone leaves the bottle out or uncapped for a period of time. though i have no scientific explaination for what it is or why it happens (you said yours was in the fridge for weeks, capped i assume) i can say its not totally unheard of. regardless, we used the G and didnt notice any change in effect. we keep the G in the freezer now and have never had the problem again.

It's either dust from the environment, crystals of sodium-GHB or ice, or impurities from the lye used to manufacture GHB.

Warm the bottle up to room temperature and give it a good shake. If there's still visible particulate, pour your GHB through a coffee filter to get it out. Micron filtration is probably unneccesary.
It is unlikely it's mold, especially if the GHB solution is alkaline.
